Strategies proposed to be adopted for effective implementation of MDMS
1. Timely release of Funds to nodal implementing department/agency It is resolved in the SLSCMC meeting that the State Planning Department
will release funds to education department in advance in April 2015 in anticipation of receipt of funds from GoI which shall not only address the issue of pre-payment of cost of foodgrains to FCI but also ensure regularity in serving Mid-day meals in schools.
2. Release of funds to schools through e-transfer. Initiatives will be taken for release of funds to districts through e-
transfer. However e-transfer is not feasible in schools because of non-availability of banking facilities in remote areas.

to open individual accounts of CcH in schools located in district headquaters where banking facilities are available.

depot at districts give first priority to the needs of MDM scheme.
