Fashions. These garments failed when drycleaned in accordance with the care label instructions. When these garments were drycleaned in either hydrocarbon solvent or perchloroethylene, the beaded trimming dissolved. Responsibility: The manufacturer. The beaded trimmings contained a plastic resin that was soluble in two standard types of drycleaning solvents. . Drycleaner: Explain the potential serviceability issues to the customer.

Since these garments may prove to be unserviceable when processed by the care label instructions, a signed release of

liability should be obtained prior to acceptance. Recommendation: If any of these garments fail when drycleaned according to the care label instructions, they should be returned to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
