On each slide describe one meal; breakfast, lunch or dinner Name each part of the meal (a typical meal has 4 parts, including
beverage; it doesn’t have to though i.e.. Caesar Salad with Chicken) For example:

NUTRIENT ANALYSIS You are going to analyze your meals for
the amount of Calories and Nutrients it contains
5 Slides - You may add an Excel spread sheet into each page if you wish.
1 page for Calories – How many calories does each food item contain,
and the overall total.1 page for Fats –
How many grams of total fat does each item contain, and overall total.
What is the percent daily value for each item and what is the total percentage for the day.
NUTRIENT ANALYSIS 1 Page for Minerals –
How many milligrams (mg) of Sodium and Potassium does each item contain, and then the overall total for the plan. (If either is not mentioned = zero)
What is the percent daily value for each item and what is the total percentage for the day.
1 page for Proteins – How many grams of total Protein does each item
contain, and the overall total for the day. What is the percent daily value for each item and
what is the total percentage for the day. 1 page for Vitamins – Is this food item a Good,
Partial, or Poor source of vitamins. (In the last section you will discuss the total for the day.)
COMPARISON TO NEEDS AND GOALS Slide 12 - On this slide you will compare
your caloric needs for the day, to what the plan provides. Are you over, under, or about rightState your goals. Does this plan meet your
goals? Slide 13 – Where you over, under, or
about right for your daily nutrient needs for: Fats?Proteins?Minerals? (Sodium & Potassium)
COMPARISON TO NEEDS AND GOALS Slide 14 – How does this plan match up
to your daily vitamin needs?Are a few, many, most, or all of your
vitamin needs met?Explain your answer – Comment on any
food items a that are helpful or not valuable.
