Desiree Powell: Outstanding Solider

Desiree Powell enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2006 in order to receive training as a medical laboratory specialist and obtain a job as a laboratory technician. She graduated in the top of her class in every single military school she has ever attended and was in a position of honor as a squad leader. Desiree Powell volunteered for a combat tour in Afghanistan where she aided doctors seeing to injured soldiers and civilians.

Desiree Powell: Cancer Research

Desiree Powell is currently employed by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which is a nationally recognized institution for the treatment of cancer and the pioneer in cancer research. Desiree Powell is employed as a clinical laboratory technician within the Laboratory of Comparative Pathology. In addition to typical testing duties she is responsible for as a laboratory technician, she also teaches other colleagues in the field of hematology, serology, and parasitology.

Desiree Powell: Medical Laboratory Technician

Desiree Powell has been trained by the United States Army National Guard as a medical laboratory specialist. She enlisted in the Army National Guard after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2006. During her time in the Army National Guard, Desiree Powell received her certification as a medical laboratory technician in 2009, as well as her clinical laboratory technician license in 2010.

Desiree Powell: United States Army

Desiree Powell served in the United States Army National Guard from December of 2006 to July of 2012. She graduated at the top of her class at every military school she ever enlisted in, and was given the honor of serving as squad leader. She achieved both her medical laboratory specialist certification in 2009, and her clinical laboratory license in 2010 while serving in the United States Army.
