Research Objectives • To create VR models of Tata Steel pipe rigs,

which can be used for training and visualization purpose.

Task - 1• A 3D model of a pipe network as a

case study. Ideally this should be a realistic 3D model of the pipework in BIM. This pipe network model should include all necessary parameters each as the diameter of each pipe, material of construction, flow rate, temperature, pressure, etc.

Task - 2• Computer program. Different

parameters can be changed and the resulting corrosion effect will be the output. Multiple corrosion models could be built so that the architect and engineer could choose whichever is appropriate. The project should begin with some simple equations that are already available in the literature.
