Draft Two

Page 2: Development page 1 draft two

Stage One So here I have taken into account my Draft One evaluation which was on the previous PowerPoint. I removed the right hand side pictures to allow a flow into the next page, and I have extended the artist introduction. Although I have not written it yet I have just copied a previous section from the article to see how it would look once finished. I believe it looks much better, and just from looking at this page you can tell there is a second instalment of a page to come. Therefore I have corrected the issue of the page looking like it should be idol.

Stage Two In my evaluation of Draft One I stated that the colour was not prominent within the page, and it did not continue the “Glam” theme that the issue promised. With the addition of a picture I have changed the entire feel of the double page spread. The picture used is the same picture used for the background of the front cover. However this is not noticeable, the only thing apparent is that the colour scheme has been repeated, this is purposefully done, to high link the link between the cover picture and this article. The front cover promises an article reflecting the glam them, therefore this page lives up to the promise. The issue i faced here was the article writing, it was previously black, and therefore was unreadable when this pictures was placed onto the page, therefore I changed the font colour to white, the same with the article header. By doing this it continues the space age “glam” theme I was to portray. Whilst simultaneously making the writing readable, as contrasting colours are being used together. Finally this picture destroys the issue that I stated previously. That the magazine looked more like a gossip magazine than a music magazine. Now its has the quality of a magazine that covers the media of music, its creativity and colour are conventional of a gossip magazine, but are conventional of a music magazine, especially one with a theme. This constant colour over all he pages is common within music magazines. This vibrant use of colour will also attract my audience. The use of pinks, yellows and purples stereotypically should attract female reader to the article. As the colour are stereotypically feminine, and the glam theme would also attract females.

Stage Three Only one thing I have changed before I settle with this final draft. The quote pull-out didn't stand out enough for the reader to see. A convention needed for pull-out quotes. So I changed half of the font to white, emphasising the text as it contrasts with the background. Now it is readable and blatantly bold. Also as you can see I have subtly changed the way the page number has been constructed, now i have the magazine name with the page number. I will do this with every page. As it is conventional not just within music magazines but fashion magazines.
