Our decorative surrounds are installed over your existing wall and firebox. Please review the anatomy of a fireplace sheet in order to familiarize yourself with the common fireplace components. Fireplace surrounds and fireboxes come in many different shapes and sizes. �is price sheet has overall sizes noted (see example below). For complete technical plans for the surround you are interested in please visit our website www.devincicaststone.com or call our office and we will be glad to fax you a copy. Note that the prices are for the basic surround only. Hearths, filler panels, and overmantels, which are not always required, are added expenses. For more information please see our hearth detail sheet.

If you are still in the construction phase we can work with you in choosing the best firebox to more easily fit the surround you prefer. However, if you have an existing firebox our cast stone filler panels can be used to make our surround fit your firebox.

�e most important step in adding a fireplace surround to your home is finding the perfect fit. Measuring the existing firebox is the first step in our design process. On our pricing sheet we have added overall dimensions to aid in choosing the correct surround. We have also developed a measurement sheet and checklist that can be completed and faxed, mailed, or e-mailed to us.

Upon receipt of your deposit on a new fireplace order, if the firebox is permanently installed by others, one of our representatives will make an on-site visit. At this on-site visit we will verify the dimensions provided for our proposal and survey for any other conditions that may affect installation procedure. At that time we will check for items such as structure to attach the mantel, gas valve location and will leave you a list of all items which will need to be changed by others, prior to our installation. A template for the hearth will be attached to this list for any wood floors which will need to be cut to accommodate the stone hearth. When all items are ready, please contact our office to schedule installation.

A final drawing will be sent with exact dimensions. Once again this drawing needs to be carefully reviewed by yourself or responsible party to assure what we are preparing to manufacture is exactly what you are expecting. Also, note that you have been given samples of the available colors and your chosen color is indicated on these drawings. You must sign and return these drawings indicating your approval to make exactly what is noted. Any changesin size or color of these signed drawing will be at your expense. You will be immediately informed if site conditionsneed to be changed (by others) to accommodate installation of the new surround. If proposed items need to be adjusted you will be notified.

Before we schedule installation you must confirm that all items noted on the site visit have been corrected. Also we must be assured that full access is still available and that everything is ready for us to complete installation without delay. An extra charge of $250.00 minimum will be assessed if we are not able to complete work upon mobilization at you or your builder’s request.

All stone to stone joints will be pointed with mortar to match the stone color selected. Joint space between dissimilar materials such as joint between the surround and the wall will be mortared and raked back for caulking by others. Upon completion the installer will check for, and repair any defects. A light acid wash will be done, leaving a completed project.

Any issues or defects in the installation must be reported within 24 hours of completed installation, after which time we will not be responsible for the cost of repairs.

FIREPLACE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Deposit:DeVinci requires a 50% material deposit before production begins. �e remaining balance for materials, including shipping charges are due prior to delivery. Installation will be charged and due upon completion. Any changes made after an order has been placed are subject to additional fees. Material pricing does not include loose anchors, patch kits and/or other specialty items not listed. If an order is canceled after the production process it is subject to a 20% restocking fee. All returned checks are subject to a $28.00 service fee.

Acceptance of our proposal includes our right to photos representing the scope of our product for advertising. Any and all references made about the client or a specific address will be by an alternate written agreement.

Pricing:All published prices are subject to change without notification. Product pricing does not include installation or shipping charges. Each proposal includes unit pricing, installation, and all applicable tax freight and shipping charges. DeVinci will deliver a proposal guaranteeing pricing for 30 calendar days.

Payments:�e following credit cards are accepted: American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discovery. However, if paying by credit card, you will be asked to complete a credit card authorization form before processing the payment. We also accept cashier, personal and business checks. For specific volume purchases the establishment of a DeVinci account is required. A finance charge of 1-1 1/2% per month will be added to all past due balances.

Accounts:To establish a volume account you will be required to complete a credit application. After the credit application and personal guarantee are signed and returned to DeVinci, we will acknowledge account approval by letter and/or fax transmittal.

Shop Drawings:Shop drawings shall be initiated only after the proposal has been agreed upon and signed by the client. �e completion of the drawings is contingent upon receiving accurate and timely information from the client. All precast items are made according to approved shop drawings. Your careful review of these drawings are a must. All changes to approved drawings will be an additional cost.

Production Time:When ordering you will need to allow a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for delivery after approval of the shop drawings and color selection. Color selection must be in writing and noted by the code number on the samples provided. Custom orders will be longer and lead times are estimates only.

Scheduling is a very important part of every project. We attend to fulfill every requirement of our customers. Prompt attention to all correspondence is the best way to avoid scheduling problems. Orders are processed in the sequence they are received. With this in mind, we suggest orders be place well in advance.

TERMS OF SALE

Holding:If you are unable to accept delivery upon the manufactured completion date, DeVinci will hold your order for up to four weeks provided that the balance is paid in full.

Installation:Available within the State of Oklahoma and subject to our standard installation procedure.

Shipping with DeVinci’s Trucking:Each proposal will have a cost per delivery and the number of trips quoted to ship your order. If it is requested by you to make early delivery of partial orders, the extra charge will be billed at the noted cost per each delivery.

Shipments/Handling and Charges (for orders requiring common carrier delivery):All orders are produced and shipped from our plant in Oklahoma City, OK. �e customer is responsible for all freight charges.It is required that all shipping and handling charges be prepaid. Shipping charges will include insurance coverage for the amount of the order. Claims for lost or damaged material in transit must be filed directly with the freight carrier. All shipments are packed on wooden pallets and secured with styrofoam and plastic wrap to avoid damage. Extra crating may be required on some items and these costs will be quoted in advance.

Delivery Note:When shipping by common carrier the truck driver will not take your crate off the truck for you. We always request a lift gate, however this is not always possible. Please have two or three men available to unload from the trucker’s tailgate. Please furnish us a fax number to which the Bill of Laden can be sent to help control delivery at your end.

Damage in shipment:All claims on apparent or concealed shipping damage must be reported in writing immediately to DeVinci. Save all broken stone and all packaging material. Please note that photographs of damage may be required after proper notification. Damage must be reported within sevens days of delivery. DeVinci will replace any broken stones at no charge to you, usually within ten days.

Colors:Our standard colors are off-white & buff. We also have an old world travertine finish. Cast stone will have naturally occurring variations in color, formation and matrix inherent with any natural product. As it is with art and nature, subtle variations in material enhance the beauty of our creation. Please consult your design professional or contractor for guidelines on what are acceptable variances in finish.

Warranty:All products are warranted to be free of any major design flaws and material defects for a period of one year from the date of delivery. Please note that material defects are excluding natural color variation typically inherent in the production of cast stone. Any defective product will be replaced.

FIREPLACE OPTIONS


DeVinci has always been dedicated to providing our customers with high quality cast stone fireplaces. �e first step to insur-ing a perfect fit for your new fireplace is knowing the layout of your firebox. �is measurement worksheet is designed to aid our customers in selecting the perfect DeVinci fireplace. Please add any measurements or photos that you think may help us in designing a perfect fit fireplace for your home.

CHECKLIST:

Measure firebox opening. �e firebox opening is the area that is not covered by a mantle or surround. Please measure outside of all vents and access panels, these should not be covered. (filler panels can be added to meet specific requirements)

Measure distance from floor to bottom of firebox opening.

Measure space on each side of firebox opening - note any cabinets or other limitations.

Locate the gas valve in relation to firebox opening. Gas valve may need to be moved if it can not be adapted to surround design.

Locate all electrical switches, outlets and/or whips. If a J-box is to be built in the mantle, please provide locations and quantity.

Verify type and thickness of finished floor. �e fireplace should be placed directly on the concrete slab. If your existing wooden flooring needs to be cut for the proper installation of a new stone hearth, we can provide a template for this purpose after our pre assembly process is complete.

Please note any special conditions which may affect delivery or installation. Our installation price is based on a normal one story install. Stairs and steep grade changes drastically affect the installation process and should be discussed with our sales department.

Please note any glass doors that may be attached to your firebox. Glass doors require additional clearance.
