GENERAL INFORMATION FOR B.Ed. ADMISSION INTO 2 YEAR REGULAR COURSE

1. COURSE:

The college is going to provide 2 year Regular B.Ed. course from the academic session

2016-17 under self-financing mode.

2. SANCTIONED STRENGTH:

B.Ed.: 50 seats

The seats will be distributed among the stream & subjects as per the approved guideline of

School & Mass Education Department.

3. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

a. Candidates with at least 50% marks in aggregate(45% for SC/ST/SEBC/PH candidates)

either in Bachelor’s Degree and/ or in the Masters Degree in Science / Social Science /

Humanities. She/he should have passed Graduation with at least two school subjects of

minimum 200 marks each.

OR

Candidates having Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology with specialization in

Science and Mathematics(As per AICTE syllabus) with 55% marks in aggregate(50%

for SC/ST/SEBC/PH candidates)

b. The science graduate candidates should have passed with two school subjects(with not

less than 200 marks each) out of physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology,

computer science and geography.

For the arts graduate candidates, one of the subjects should be considered out of

English/ Odia / Hindi / Sanskrit and another subject shall be considered from the

subjects studied out of History, geography, economics, Indian Economy, Political

Science, landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Polity, Mathematics

(Each subject of the above mentioned list should have been studied at the Graduation

level with not less than 200 marks).

c. She/he must have passed odia as MIL upto HSC level or any such equivalent or higher

examination or have passed Odia as a subjet in the specific examination conducted by

BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or should have passed HSC examination of BSE, Odisha

in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such candidates who have passed HSC

examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as a MIL should produce a certificate to the

effect from the Headmaster of the concerned school that She/he has passed HSC

examination in Odia medium.

N.B: The candidates who have passed Shastri qualification are not eligible to apply

for the B.Ed. Course.

b. The age limit as on 30.06.2017 (As per SCERT guideline)

For SC, ST and SEBC candidate 35 years

For women candidates of all categories

35 years

For General Candidates 30 years

For PH Candidates 40 years

Note: The upper age limit is inclusive of age relaxation for relevant groups as admissible

under rules.

4. PROCUREMENT OF APPLICATION FORM:

Applications can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs.500/- in cash (As

prescribed by Govt.) within the office hour.

The application form can be downloaded from the college website (www.ddcollege.nic.in)

5. HOW TO APPLY:

Application form duly filled in should reach the Principal, D.D. Autonomous College,

Keonjhar-758001 latest by the last date of receipt of forms by hand in the college office

hour(except holidays and Sundays) or by Regd. Post/ Speed Post alongwith required

documents and the original Bank Draft/Money receipt. The Bank Draft should be made in

favour of Principal, D.D. Autonomous College, Keonjhar, payable at Keonjhar. Incomplete

applications are liable to be rejected & postal delay is not considered at any

circumstances. The envelope containing filled in application form must have been

superscripted as “APPLICATION FOR B.Ed. PROGRAMME FOR THE SESSION

6. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED ALONGWITH APPLICATION FORM:

a. Original Money Receipt for Application Form purchased from college counter/Original

Bank Draft for downloaded application form(www.ddcollege.nic.in)

b. Self attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates from HSC onwards.

c. Self attested photocopy of certificate in respect of Reservation.

d. Self attested photocopy of migration certificate, if applicable.

e. One Recent Passport size photograph pasted in the appropriate box.

f. Two self-addressed unstamped envelope (23cm X 11cm).

g. Self attested photocopy of Certificate of Headmaster of School to the effect that she/he

has passed HSC in Odia medium(in the cases who have passed BSE, Odisha without

Odia as MIL).

7. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The selection will be made on the basis of career marks(HSC onwards) as per NCTE norm.

8. RESERVATION:

The seats will be reserved as per the existing State Govt. Rule for admission.

In case of SC, ST & SEBC candidates, the caste certificate should be issued by the

concerned Tahasildar/Additional Tahasildar. The caste certificate shall be considered by

virtue of birth only(caste by marriage or adoption will not be considered).

9. FEE STRUCTURE:

The fee structure for the said course will be Rs.50,000/-(Rupees Fifty Thousand Only)

per annum in addition to other usual college fees.

The course fee in no case shall be refunded. However, the course fee may be refunded

after deduction of processing charge of Rs.1,000/-(Rupees One thousand only) if the

candidate wishes to leave the course before the last date of admission. After the last date

of admission the course fee is not refundable.

N.B: If a student leaves the course prior to the completion of the course period, she/he has

to pay the balance course fee.

10. PUBLICATION OF MERIT LIST:

a. Merit list will be displayed in the college notice board and college

website(www.ddcollege.nic.in)

b. Selected candidates shall be intimated through intimation letter. College is not liable for

postal delays.

11. ADMISSION:

The selected candidates for admission are required to come personally to the college with

required documents and fees for admission on the date and time specified in the selection

list. They are required to deposit the course fee of Rs.50,000/-(RupeesFifty Thousand

Only) in shape of Bank Draft in favour of Principal, D.D. Auto. College, Keonjhar,

payable at Keonjhar. The Bank Draft to be signed by the candidate on its

backside. Other admission fees and college fees are to be deposited in cash in the college

cash counter.

The selected candidates failing to take admission on the stipulated date & time shall forfeit

their claim for admission.

12. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION:

i. Original mark sheets & certificates from HSC onwards.

ii. Original College Leaving certificate (CLC) from the institution last attended.

iii. Original Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.

iv. Original Certificates in support of claims for reservation.

v. Admission fee & college fees are to be deposited in cash and course fee

(Rs.50,000/-) is to be deposited in shape of Bank Draft.

vi. Four copies of recent passport size photographs signed by the candidate in front

side.

vii. Original migration certificate, if applicable.

viii. Certificate of Headmaster of School to the effect that she/he

has passed HSC in Odia medium(in the cases who have passed BSE,

Odisha without Odia as MIL).

13. SYLLABUS:

Syllabus prescribed for B.Ed. by Director of TE & SCERT, Odisha.

14. HOSTEL ACCOMODATION:

Hostel accommodation for the students admitted in the course is subject to availability of

the hostel seat.

15. INTERPRETATION OF RULES:

Admission to the course is not a matter of right. It is always provisional. The students

admitted for the course must abide by the rules and regulations, dress code, etc. of the

college. In matters of dispute relating to rules and regulations the decision of the Principal

of the college shall be final and binding. Rules mentioned in the prospectus are not

exhaustive and subject to change/modification as per the orders of the appropriate

authorities.
