Our Vision
A fully informed, accessible and inclusive society in which every individual has the choice and
opportunity to achieve their full potential and take part as an equal
and valued citizen
Advocacy is taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights,
represent their interests and obtain services they need.

The government has stated that: “by 2010 each locality should have a User Led
Organisation (ULO)”
A User Led Organisation involves Deaf and disabled people and carers in its day-to-day running and services.
Fusion meets all of the Department of Health requirements as the User Led Organisation for Devon and is now funded
by Devon County Council

What Fusion has doneHuman Rights Training Fusion involved people with learning disabilities to develop a training pack to raise awareness of Human Rights.
The Joint Engagement Board The board works to plan, monitor and evaluate involvement activities to make sure they are carried out in the correct way.
The Fusion Gateway Fusion sends out involvement activities to the Gateway so people can be involved. Fusion collects the responses and feedback to everyone.
The Putting People First Reference Group enables the Council or NHS to draw on personal experiences on the changes currently being made in health and social care.
