St Mary the virgin church Claverton
The church is set on the east side of claverton down facing warleihg manor across the beautiful Avon valey.To the north of the church is the site Elisabethan manor house designed by Robert Simthson the pre-eminent architect of the periode.The original garden terraces and gates remain.Around the church are contemporary farm bulding and others like the former rectory which are Victorian copies.

The Cathedral's history goes back to 597AD when St Augustine, sent by Pope Gregory the Great as a missionary, established his seat (or 'Cathedra') in Canterbury. In 1170 Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered in the Cathedral and ever since, the Cathedral has attracted thousands of pilgrims, as told famously in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Cathedral of Canterbury This is the cathedral of Canterbury in England. The cathedral was reconstructed in a new style, the Gothic style, which had a considerable influence on the development of the English architecture.
The cathedral was built in 597 The cathedral is very beautiful and is now renovated.

The city of Bath
According to the legend, the city would have been founded by the Brits in 863 before J-C. In 43 after J-C, the Romans conquered the city and built a temple dedicated to Minerva on the site of the hot water sources.

In Bath, there is one natural spring of hot water . During the Roman era, many sick people , wounded soldiers, people dying, women and even aristocrats wishing to relax made pilgrimages towards the unexplained source of warm water which was supposed to cure. The Roman explained this mysterious phenomenon by the strength of their gods. The ruins of thebaths and of the temples are still there today! The city fitted out a museum which makes the visist all the more interesting.

BATH is beautiful city.
The name of Bath comes from bagnum. It was built by the Brits in 863 av.J-C.
The legend says the waters have got the power to cure leprosy.
In 43 ap.J-C,the Roman conquered the city and built a temple dedicated to Plato.
The ''Royal Crescent'' mean ''le croissant royal'',it's a set grouping together(including) around thirty houses forming an arc of circle. In its centre, there is one of the smartest hotels in the world:''the royal crescent hotel''.
The visit of the Roman baths is worth making..
The Holburne Museum of Art is a very beautiful museum in a ''British'' house which belonged to the vice-admiral Holburne.
The old town is unavoidable: the Gothic style of the cathedral is worth seeing there.

giant waterwheel, driven by the river itself.

The People of Blaenafon were a huge driving force in shaping the history of Blaenafon, at the same time as the Industrial Revolution.
Along with the coal mines and iron works came wealthy owners who helped boost the population of Blaenavon by offering a fair wage for working in either industry.

Park Street Chapel The New Park Street Chapel was a Reformed Baptist church in Southwark in London built in 1833. Its first pastor was William Rider, and many notable others have filled the position since, including Benjamin Keach, Dr. John Gill, Dr. John Rippon, and C.H.Spurgeon. This is a beautiful chapel.

Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace was the place of residence of the British monarchy.It was a manor at the beginning; but it had to be reorganized because it was very dirty,little convenient and dangerous. This is now a wonderful Palace which is authorized to visitors.
The Abbey of Westminster
The Abbey of Westminster was founded in the 11th century. Many sovereigns are buried in the Abbey. Elisabeth II was crowned there in 1953, and Lady Diana Spence's funeral took place there in 1997.Inside there is the tomb of the unknown soldier; in the Royal Vault are buried 9 kings and queens. In the corner of the poets, famous poets and writers are buried, like Ben Jonson, Lewis Caroll and Shakespeare.

Big Ben is the nickname of the big bell located in the Tower of the Clock (Clock Tower) of the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the British Parliament (House of Parliament). The Building was finished between 1858 and 1859.
On May 31st, 1859, the famous clock was inaugurated. Every year, it is regulated by putting down a coin of one penny on the mechanism if it has taken some advance, or by taking one away if it has slowned down.

Nice quiet ruins, and of imposing size, which were the main home of the bishops of Winchester and one of the big buildings of medieval period in England.

The Great Hall is the only remaining part of the 13th Century Winchester Castle that remains above ground. Built in 1232-1240, by Henry III, of flint with stone dressings it originally had lower walls and a roof with dormer windows.
