ThePermanentCollectionandExhibitionofthe IstitutoGaruzzoper leArtiVisiveopenedtothepublic in the autumn of 2009. They are located within the 19th-century wing of the Castiglia,which is provided on a loan-for-use basis by Saluzzo Local Council by means of a multi-yearagreement.Inside, the building plays host to works by accomplished artists who have already garnered anationalandinternationalreputation,alongsideworksbyyoung,emergingnames.Offering a continually updated visionof the latest artistic tendencies in Italy, the collectionhasovertheyearsservedasthevenuefortheexhibitingofaround100worksbyatotalofmorethan90artists.Since2012,ithasbeenpartofthenationwide“IluoghidelContemporaneo”networkestablishedby the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activitiesand Tourism, as a vehicle for thedisseminationandfruitionofcontemporaryartinItaly.
