October 17, 2019 is International Credit Union Day, a time to celebrate the many good things credit unions do for their communities and the people living in them. This year, ICU Day celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement with the theme Local Service, Global Reach. We’ll have coloring sheets and refreshments in the branches on October 17. Pay us a visit! Did You Know? REDDY’s DIY Costume Ideas Want to rock your next Halloween party? Instead of spending money on a store-bought costume everyone will have, save money and win at creativity by making your own costume! Here are some easy tips: Pick a theme. The best way to start a costume is to decide what you want to create. Pick something, someone, or a favorite character you would enjoy being. Do you love superheroes? Create your own! What about mythical creatures or a famous person from history? Use your imagination and choose something sure to impress. Get ideas. Ask your parents to help you look for costume ideas online and in magazines. Save your ideas in a folder on your computer or print them out and glue them to a poster board. Look for pieces around the house. Before hitting the stores, check around the house for any free materials you could use for your costume. Old clothes from family members, cardboard, paint, pillow cases, and accessories are all great ways to get started. Don’t be afraid to repurpose pieces of old costumes too! Ask your friends and neighbors if they have anything you could have or borrow for your costume. Get shopping! Caramel Apple Bites

Steps: 1. Slice apples into wedges and insert lollipop stick lengthwise. 2. Fill each muffin well with a topping. Here are some ideas: brown sugar & cinnamon, mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips. 3. Dip apple slice into warm chocolate or caramel and then into topping wells of your choice. Enjoy!

Ingredients: • Apples • Lollipop sticks (Target and Walmart have them) • Warm caramel or chocolate • Muffin pan filled with ingredients of your choice
