    Grand Canyon (Ariz.) Records Winter-High 408.50 Points in theFinal Winter Division II Learfield Sports Directors Cup Standings;

    RMAC Places Three Institutions in the Top 10

    CLEVELAND In the final winter Division II Learfield Sports Directors Cup standings, GrandValley State (Mich.) has kept the overall lead with 728 points. The Lakers finished 33

    rdin

    womens basketball in the most recent championships.

    Shippensburg (Pa.) remains in second with 496.50 total points. The Raiders did not add to theirpoint total in the final set of winter championships.

    Adams State (Colo.) has moved from sixth to third after placing ninth in womens basketball and33

    rdin mens basketball. The Grizzlies have 484 total points, with 299 points coming during the

    winter championships.

    Grand Canyon (Ariz.) sits in fourth after having accumulated a winter-high 408.50 points. TheAntelopes finished ninth in womens basketball and now have 461.50 total points.

    Rounding out the top five is Central Missouri. The Mules will take 456 total points with them intothe spring championships.

    The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has set the pace by having three of its institutionscurrently in the top 10. Following third place Adams State (Colo.), is Colorado School of Mines inseventh and Western State (Colo.) in ninth.

    All seven winter NCAA championships have been completed with the following institutionscapturing titles: womens swimming & diving Drury (Mo.); mens swimming & diving Drury(Mo.); womens indoor track & field Grand Valley State (Mich.); mens indoor track & field Abilene Christian (Tex.); wrestling Nebraska Omaha; mens basketball Bellarmine (Ky.);womens basketball Clayton (Ga.).

    The Learfield Sports Directors Cup was developed as a joint effort between the NationalAssociation of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awardedbased on each institution's finish in up to 14 sports -- seven womens and seven mens.

    The first Division II spring standings will be released Thursday, May 27, 2011.
