Silent Auction Bid Procedures

• Silent Auction tables will begin to close at 6:00 p.m. • Final Auction tables will close at 7:00 p.m.

• Each item for auction will be displayed on a table with a bid sheet attached near the item. Individuals desiring to bid may do so by writing their paddle number and the amount of their bid on the bid sheet.

• Each new bid must be written on the next available blank line on the bid sheet. Auction bids will be disqualified if minimum raise is not sufficient as stated on each bid sheet.

• The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. When bidding ends, the closing bid highlighted by a committee member shall constitute the winning bid. Bids entered after the closing time is announced will be

considered invalid.

Silent Auction Checkout Procedure

Checkout for the Silent Auction begins at 7:30 p.m. at the registration tables. You may pick up the pink copy with your paddle # showing you as the winning bidder. There is no hurry to pick up your bid sheets –

they will remain where they are until you pick them up.

When you wish to check out, bring all of your bid sheets (and your wallet) to the check out area. We will verify your bid sheets, calculate your total purchases and collect your payment.

Your bid sheet will be stamped “paid” and handed back to you.

A runner will then go and collect your items and give them to you.

Payment in full is due by 9:30pm. All sales are final.

Most certificates are redeemable for the entire calendar year, unless otherwise noted. Certificates are not redeemable for cash. Every effort has been made to accurately represent each auction item. Values listed in the auction book are donor’s estimates and are not warranted by County Montessori

School or the Committee for general value or tax purposes.

functional fretwork delicate item, handcrafted by all of the UE students. Three exotic woods and other materials were

used, taking approximately 7 (2 hr) meetings to cut the intricate sections using a scroll saw and drill press.

Students engraved their names on the item using a special carving tool. A grid of the item showing each cut made by

each student is included, along with a slide show DVD. All of the pictures were taken by the students
