Dinosaurs in Middle B In Term 3, the middle school students learnt all about Dinosaurs and the Cretaceous period for our
inquiry topic. As part of the unit, the students designed and created their very own dinosaur park.
During the last week of term, the Middle B students were able to share all of their creative work
with each other in an exhibition style gallery walk; all students presented their achievements
amazingly well and enjoyed the event.
You can visit our school website www.rivergumps.vic.edu.au for further information about our school vision and how we showcase our students owning their learning.

2019 School Review
In 2019, we are in a year of review. Our review is scheduled for Term 4 and will look at our data from 2016 to 2019 and where we have achieved our goals. Furthermore this will assist us to create goals and benchmarks for student achievement at River Gum for the next 4 years and form part of our Strategic Plan.
Throughout the year, staff and School Council have assisted in preparing River Gum Primary School for our review to ensure that our selected priorities and focus on our key areas have had the greatest impact on school improvement. Our self evaluation is now complete and ready for the 3 day review which will take place in Term 4.
We will continue to engage with School Council, parents and students so that our self evaluation reflects how we have done the work in the past and what might we do differently or focus on in the future.
2020 Enrolments

Zooper Doopers are back!
During Term 4, all students are required to wear a hat with a broad brim outside during recess and lunchtimes.
Please remind students to bring their hats to school everyday otherwise they will be required to stay in the ‘No hat, No play’ area.
School bucket hats in house colours can be purchased from the office for $12.
Visitor Sign In The office has introduced a new visitor sign-in system called Passtab.
This system requires all classroom visitors to enter their Working With Children Check number upon arrival. Please remember to bring your WWCC card if you are helping in the classroom.
If you currently volunteer in the classroom, please see the office for further details.
School Gates At the end of the school day gates are opened at 3:00pm. As these are opened by teachers; at times there may be things which arise or prevent them from getting to the gate at precisely 3:00pm. Please be mindful of this when collecting your child. Someone will attend to the gate as soon as possible.
Please, also notify the Office 9799 1216 if the gates are still closed after 3:00pm. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding of this.
No Hat, No Play
They will be available everyday, starting Monday. They cost 50 cents. If you would like one you need to give the money to your teacher first thing in the morning and you’ll receive a Zooper Dooper at lunch time.
