Site Visits There is only so much that can be taught in the classroom. Event management requires you to understand how different spaces can be used, how to move people around, how to create inspiring environments and how to manage multiple suppliers and partners.

During your course you will have the unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of two London venues and meet Event Managers along the way. You will hear invaluable first-hand stories and tips about what it’s really like to work in the event industry and give you an insight into the range of roles within them.

Diploma Course Outline

This part-time course gives you the flexibility to study alongside your other commitments.Evening classes from 18.30 – 21.00 (either Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday)

Modules include marketing, budgeting, creativity, weddings, sports, fundraising, production, celebrity, festivals etc. Some modules will also be available online and there are additional Masterclasses that can be combined with this course to complement your learning.

Live ProjectYou’ll work on a group project giving you the chance to experience different event roles, challenging yourself and improving as you progress.

Working as part of a small team on a live brief from a real client, you will develop creative, marketing and events solutions to produce a written project and pitch your ideas back.

You’ll support each other in applying everything you’ve learned, with ongoing support and feedback from our Course Director every step of the way.

Recent clients have included BMW, Credit Suisse, Hilton Foundations, Everything Everywhere (EE), NetJets, Sochi Winter Olympics, FIFA 2014 World Cup, The United Nation, UNICEF Pret a Manger, L’Escargot and The British Army.

Entry requirements

We are flexible on qualifications depending on your experience. However, our guidelines are:

• 2 A levels and 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths)or equivalent

• International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF level 3or above)

OR

• Experience working within the event or marketing industrywith at least one years’ relevant industry experience

• Have at least two years’ alternative professional experiencewithin a business environment

A 25% deposit is needed to secure your place (this is non-refundable). The balance must then be received no later than two weeks before your course starts.
