DEVELOP HOMESCHOOLING
CURRICULUM
Fine-tune the curriculum to suit your childs learning style. In the book 7 Secrets to Finding the Best Homeschooling Curriculum, author
Carletta Sanders suggests first determining your family's goals and needs andyour child's learning style.
One thing to keep in mind is knowing what your child likes and dislikes when itcomes to learning.
Are they attentive and quick to respond?
Do they need more than one warning before you have their attention?
What kinds of activities get their brain working?
These are questions that will help you get to know what kind of learningtechniques he/she responds to and how to choose the right learning tools and
curriculum. http://suite101.com/article/home-schooling-which-curriculum-is-right-for-

Philosophy central to curriculum, influences the goals, contentand organization.
J.J. Rousseau (1920-1970s) dalam teorinya Menurut J.J.
Rousseau, Everything is good as it comes from the hands of the
Creator; everything degenerates in the hands of man,..Nobody starts off stupid. what happens is that (he) is
destroyed by process that we misname education, a process that
goes on in most homes and schools. (Diane Lapp, 1975:155).
Rousseau want to restore education to environmental education, reason naturally the man was free, good, and gentle.
What type of curriculum philosophy

The biggest problems for homeschoolers as stated by colleges andschools who have accepted homeschooled students:
(1) Lack of good skills in advanced math: Use a good curriculum.
Send them to Co-op. Hire a tutor. All colleges require Algebra I,
Geometry, and Algebra II. If the child does not have it in high
school, he will have to take it in college as a noncredit course.
(2) Composition: Spend more time on composition than grammar.
They can learn grammar while doing composition but not
necessarily true in reverse.
(3) Meeting deadlines and follow through: Get your children in the
habit of finishing assignments. Set deadlines and insist that they
meet them. Have consequences if they dont. Set a good example.
Dont sign up for things and then dont go - follow through and
commitment
