Fosun decided to increase its share holdings after its original purchase of 20% of the company in August 2014 and made Ironshore a fully-owned subsidiary. §  In December 2012, Fosun invested USD 1.6 million in BeyondSpring Pharmaceuticals. It has 10 full time employees §  BeyondSpring’s Plinabulin is a new form of immunotherapy drug with a global patent for the treatment of lung cancer. The approach has thus

far treated a total of 141 cancer patients in the United States and internationally, and exhibits marked effects and good safety in late stage lung cancer, brain cancer, colon cancer, and pancreatic cancer. The period of efficacy of the treatment is longer than any other drugs on the market

biochemical testing platform for the Chinese and even global markets that will be capable of carrying out testing for chemotherapy concentrations, thus enabling better analysis of the treatment effects of chemotherapy drugs

§  In May 2015, Shanghai Fosun Pharma announced an USD 45 million investment in Ambrx, the transaction was closed in Q2 2015. It has around 60 employees

§  Ambrx is a biotech company involved in clinical research stages and specializes in uncovering and developing new protein drugs. Its exclusive technical platform is able to precisely couple small molecules with pharmaceutical activity to specific locations on large protein molecules

§  In Oct 2015, Fosun Pharma invested $20 million in Astute as an agreement with Shanghai Fosun Long March Medicine Science Co for distribution of Astute's NephroCheck® Test on the Astute140® Meter in China. In addition to its planned launch of the NephroCheck® Test in China.

§  Founded in 2007, Astute Medical focuses on novel biomarkers to create clinically useful tools for assessing acute conditions in the critically ill patient. It is dedicated to improving the diagnosis of high-risk medical conditions and diseases through the identification and validation of protein biomarkers that can serve as the basis for novel diagnostic tests. Currently, Astute has around 68 employees.

§  On Feb 2016, Wanbang Biopharmaceutical Co., a subsidiary of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Rockwell Medical, Inc. for Triferic and Calcitriol Injection in China market.

§  Rockwell Medical, a Wixom, MI based and Nasdaq-traded company, is a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company targeting end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) with innovative products and services for the treatment of iron replacement, secondary hyperparathyroidism and hemodialysis. It has 300 employees in the US.

§  On June 26, 2014, Fosun Pharma invested in Nature's Sunshine Products (Nasdaq:NATR) with $46.3 million. §  With the private placement transaction, Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc., a leading natural health and wellness company

engaged in the manufacture and direct selling of nutritional and personal care products, has also signed a definitive agreements with respect to the formation of a China joint venture to market and distribute Nature's Sunshine and Synergy products in China.

§  Based in Lehi, Utah, the company has 599 employees all across the US and total 975 employees globally..

§  On Jan 9, 2015, Fosun Pharma made an investment of USD 35 million in Amerigen Pharmaceuticals Limited to help deepen its product pipeline through additional investments in product development and business development.

§  Amerigen Pharmaceuticals is a group of companies engaged in all phases of the generic pharmaceutical business. Headquartered in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, the company has 17 employees in the US and has US FDA and CFDA approved operations in Suzhou, China.

§  In April 2015, Fosun Pharma invested USD 40 million in Sovereign Health Services,Inc. It has 820 employees in the US. §  Sovereign Health System is a fully integrated, multi-specialty community healthcare system serving residents of the New York

City metropolitan area. It has four radiation oncology centers, more than a dozen ambulatory surgery centers, three urgent care centers, and dozens of primary care and specialty physicians, with plans for strategic expansion.
