Explore the desert state at leisure and marvel at the Taj. Day 1: Delhi Pickup from New Delhi Airport, and transfer to hotel. Delhi is an exciting, at times chaotic but mostly interesting mega city with lots of historic sights, museums and endless bazaars. We suggest you see Lutyen’s Delhi, India Gate and Connaught Place today depending on the time at hand. Day 2: Shekhawati Often referred to as open art gallery of Rajasthan, the region of Shekhawati is famous for its incredible painted havelis (merchant’s House). Visit some of these exquisite mansions with frescos depicting mythological themes and that of daily life in old times. We stay in a small town of this semi desert region today. Day 3: Bikaner A 3-4 hr drive takes us to Bikaner. This desert town was major trading centre on the old caravan route from Central Asia. The town has a magnificent fort, palaces and mansions that bear testimony of its rich cultural and architectural history. We visit Junagarh Fort and Camel Research Farm (3-5 PM) and stay with a local family. Day 4: Camel Safari Today we drive into the wilderness of Thar Desert for a camel safari. We ride camels passing through isolated desert region with small villages and watch the sun set over sand dunes. We spend the night in a beautiful tented camp. (Approx 3 hour camel riding) Day 5: Jaisalmer The golden fort of Jaisalmer rises from the heart of Thar desert. A story in yellow sandstone, soak in the atmosphere of this town with a walk to explore the vibrant markets and beautiful carved houses hidden in twisting alleys of this magical town. Day 6: Jaisalmer In morning explore intricately carved “Patwon ki haveli and old Jain temples, or relax in many roof tops restaurants in the fort. In afternoon we will drive into the heart of Thar to visit the remote deserted village of Kuldhara and then the romance of Sand dunes at Sam. Day 7: Jodhpur Head on to the blue city of Jodhpur (5 hr). Home of Rathore Rajputs, Jodhpur boasts of a rich heritage and culture and has a flourishing handicrafts industry. In afternoon we visit the magnificent fort of Mehrangarh. Evening is free to explore one of the oldest markets in India around the clock tower. Day 8: Udaipur We visit the spectacular Jain temples of Ranakpur (3 hr from Jodhpur) en route to Udaipur (2.5 hr from Ranakpur). Surrounded by the lush hills of Aravali, with its palaces, tranquil lakes and quiet alleyways, Udaipur is an unforgettably picturesque, serene and romantic destination. In the evening we can catch a light and sound show OR a folk dance and music show.

Day 9: Udaipur

Discover the wonders of this picturesque city on morning tour to Jagdish Temple and City Palace complex. We can also see Water gardens of Saheliyon ki Bari, Pratap Memorial and the numerous lakes. Post lunch we can either do an excursion to the hilltop Monsoon Palace for panoramic city views OR take a boat ride on lake Pichola , a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.

Day 10: Pushkar We leave Udaipur and drive to the holy temple town of Nathdwara. On the way we see the battlefield of Haldi Ghati. After Nathdwara, we drive to Pushkar. Situated on the banks of a holy lake, this oasis town is a great pilgrimage centre for Hindus, with the only Bramha (God of creation) temple in the world. Relax and soak the atmosphere of this scenic town. Walk around in the colorful markets and hike to Savitri temple to catch breathtaking views.

Day 11: Jaipur Drive to the pink city of Jaipur (3 hr drive). The city is famous for its Marvelous architecture and town planning and we see the City Palace, observatory and Palace of Winds today. We also roam the streets of Jaipur to take in the beauty of its buildings and see the bustling life here.

Day 12: Jaipur Morning excursion to magnificent Amber Fort, you can have the experience of traveling on elephant back to the top of the hill where the fort is situated. Later we visit the battle fort of Jai Garh and Tiger Fort.

Day 13: Agra Travel to Agra, Visit the forgotten city of Fatehpur Sikari en route. Home to the Mughal kings for centuries Agra has some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. We also try and see the Red Fort today.

Day 14: Delhi We see the Taj Mahal and Red fort in the morning and then drive on to Delhi. Then we dive into the heart of India's capital city and explore some of Old Delhi treasures like Jama Masjid, Chandani Chowk and Spice market. After this we can either go to Connaught place the heart of Delhi and a hub of shopping or to the Qutub Complex.

Day 15: Delhi / Tour End Morning visit to Humanyun's Tomb in Delhi after which the tour ends.
