    Disinformation v. Propaganda

Around the world Television dominates the eyes and minds of societythat induces deception. The Illuminati Occult perfected Propaganda andnow Disinformation through the News Media, Music Industry, and manyother media outlets.

In America, high definition television are placed in restaurants, shops, and corporations buildings, considering the hypnotic effect ofHD TV society is deceived into believing they need the interaction ofa TV.

The majorities watch the mainstream news every night that causes theirdeluded minds to go deeper into the matrix. The 10th anniversary of9/11 has come and gone and the media is deceptively manipulating humanemotion through disinformation and twisted propaganda.

Disinformation is continually used today through the news media thatcovertly deceives the mind from the deeper context of the truth.

Propaganda is generally an appeal to emotion, not intellect. It sharestechniques with advertising and public relations.

Disinformation and Propaganda work together within the mainstreammedia. Watching any local or world news channel will make the awakenedindividual sick to their stomach. Over the years the Zionist branch ofthe Illuminati perfected this combination, and completely comprehendsthat most of the world listens to their twisted deception.

Its time to wake up: 9/11 was a inside job .

Disinformation defined: 1: false information deliberately and oftencovertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influencepublic opinion or obscure the truth 2: false information that isintended to mislead, esp. propaganda issued by a governmentorganization to a rival power or the media. Origin: 1950 s formed on

    the pattern of Russian dezinformatsiya

Propaganda defined: 1 [ mass noun ] information, especially of a biasedor misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point ofview: he was charged with distributing enemy propaganda. Thedissemination of propaganda as a political strategy: the partysleaders believed that a long period of education and propaganda wouldbe necessary. 2 (Propaganda) a committee of cardinals of the RomanCatholic Church responsible for foreign missions, founded in 1622 byPope Gregory XV. ORIGIN Italian, from modern Latin congregatio depropaganda fide congregation for propagation of the faith (see sense

2). Sense 1 dates from the early 20th cent.

Disinformation Verses Traditional Propaganda: Disinformation is ahighly-specialized form of propaganda. While some types ofdisinformation are even cruder and more mindless than the propagandawith which we are already familiar, some pieces of disinformation arevery cleverly constructed and distributed for the consumption of atotally unsuspecting public. Herein lies the key to disinformation: itis an indirect attempt to control our thoughts.

Propaganda is a very blunt instrument for attempting to influence ourminds. The message is delivered directly to the target. The successof propaganda depends primarily on the persuasiveness of the message, and secondarily on the credibility of the source of the message.

Unlike traditional propaganda techniques designed to engage emotionalsupport, disinformation is designed to manipulate the audience at therational level by either discrediting conflicting information orsupporting false conclusions. A common disinformation tactic is to mixsome truth and observation with false conclusions and lies, or toreveal part of the truth while presenting it as the whole ( a limitedhangout ). Disinformation is a form of propaganda that is invariablysinister and dangerous. Propaganda, by design, evokes an emotionalreaction. The point of propaganda is to motivate people to act upon themessage being relayed. But when that message is a complete distortionof reality we end up the 9/11 deception.

Disinformation is a highly-specialized form of propaganda. A limitedhangout, or partial hangout, is a public relations or propagandatechnique that involves the release of previously hidden information in

order to prevent a greater exposure of more important details. It takesthe form of deception, misdirection, or cover-up often associated withintelligence agencies involving a release or mea culpa type ofconfession of only part of a set of previously hidden sensitiveinformation, that establishes credibility for the one releasing theinformation who by the very act of confession appears to be comingclean and acting with integrity; but in actuality, by withholding keyfacts, is protecting a deeper operation and those who could be exposedif the whole truth came out. In effect, if an array of offenses ormisdeeds is suspected, this confession admits to a lesser offense whilecovering up the greater ones.

The American media deploys a deep and varied arsenal of rhetoricaldevices in order to marginalize opinions, people and organizations asoutside the mainstream and therefore not worth listening to.

Another technique of concealing facts, or censorship, is also used ifthe group can affect such control. When channels of information cannotbe completely closed, they can be rendered useless by filling them withdisinformation, effectively lowering their signal-to-noise ratio anddiscrediting the opposition by association with many easily disprovedfalse claims.

Propaganda is the more or less systematic effort to manipulate otherpeoples beliefs, attitudes, or actions by means of symbols (words, gestures, banners, monuments, music, clothing, insignia, hairstyles, designs on coins and postage stamps, and so forth). Deliberateness and

a relatively heavy emphasis on manipulation distinguish propaganda fromcasual conversation or the free and easy exchange of ideas. Thepropagandist has a specified goal or set of goals. Propaganda is a formof communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of acommunity, culture, or entire country toward some cause or position soas to benefit oneself.

Propaganda is often biased, with facts selectively presented (thuspossibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, oruses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational

response to the information presented. The desired result is a changeof the attitude toward the subject in the target audience to further apolitical, or other type of agenda. Propaganda can be used as a form ofpolitical warfare.

The brain is a belief engine, predisposed to see patterns where noneexist and to attribute them to knowing agents rather than to chance.Better to make sense of the truth, then having formed a belief ofdeception, each of us tends to seek out evidence that confirms thedeceptive propaganda, thus reinforcing the belief.

The Cold War is the finest example of the usage of disinformation, propaganda, and limited hangout. Both sides painted a picture towardthe other through propaganda by using covert disinformation. During the1950s, the West boosted about the deceiving benefits of Capitalism andpreached the evils of communism and socialism. In turn the Soviet Unionused the propaganda machine to control the people into verbalacceptance.

The United States Information Agency operated the Voice of America as

an official government station. Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty, which were, in part, supported by the Central Intelligence Agency, provided grey propaganda in news and entertainment programs to EasternEurope and the Soviet Union respectively. The Soviet Unions officialgovernment station, Radio Moscow, broadcast white propaganda, whileRadio Peace and Freedom broadcast grey propaganda. Both sides alsobroadcast black propaganda a programs in periods of special crises.Who Controls the Media?

The Zionists! A major branch in the Illuminati.Today, seven Zionist Americans run the vast majority of US televisionnetworks, the printed press, the Hollywood movie industry, the bookpublishing industry, and the recording industry. Most of theseindustries are bundled into huge media conglomerates run by thefollowing seven individuals:

If counterfeiters put pictures of their family members on theirhandiwork, nobody would be fooled. What constitutes a good fake is howwell it resembles the real thing.

The truth is precious. The Majorities in our society have lost respectfor the truth because of the matrix delusion; people who have traded intheir conscience and their soul for temporary financial comfort whilesacrificing the stability and balance.

Our Inner Spirit comprehends truth . The only way to identify the truthis to listen within and the reaction of your body. Any context ofinformation, music, tv shows, movies our meridian daily clock andinner system will weaken and collapse. Inner fear must be faced andsurrendered which will increase intuition to identify the deepercontext of a subject and what is truth verses disinformation.

Mass media are media forms designed to reach the largest audiencepossible. They include television, movies, radio, newspapers, magazines, books, records, video games and the Internet. Many studieshave been conducted in the past century to measure the effects of massmedia on the population in order to discover the best techniques toinfluence it. From those studies emerged the science of Communications, which is used in marketing, public relations and politics. Masscommunication is a necessary tool to insure the functionality of alarge democracy; it is also a necessary tool for a dictatorship. It all

    depends on its usage.

In the 1958 preface for A Brave New World, Aldous Huxley paints arather grim portrait of society. He believes it is controlled by animpersonal force, a ruling elite, which manipulates the populationusing various methods.

Impersonal forces over which we have almost no control seem to bepushing us all in the direction of the Brave New Worldian nightmare;and this impersonal pushing is being consciously accelerated byrepresentatives of commercial and political organizations who havedeveloped a number of new techniques for manipulating, in the interestof some minority, the thoughts and feelings of the masses.

    - Aldous Huxley, Preface to A Brave New WorldHis bleak outlook is not a simple hypothesis or a paranoid delusion. Itis a documented fact, present in the worlds most important studies onmass media. Here are some of them: Elite Illisionist

    Walter Lippmann

Walter Lippmann, an American intellectual, writer and two-time PulitzerPrize winner brought forth one of the first works concerning the usageof mass media in America. In Public Opinion (1922), Lippmann comparedthe masses to a great beast and a bewildered herd that needed to beguided by a governing class. He described the ruling elite as aspecialized class whose interests reach beyond the locality. Thisclass is composed of experts, specialists and bureaucrats. According toLippmann, the experts, who often are referred to as elites, are to bea machinery of knowledge that circumvents the primary defect ofdemocracy, the impossible ideal of the omnicompetent citizen. Thetrampling and roaring bewildered herd has its function: to be theinterested spectators of action, i.e. not participants. Participationis the duty of the responsible man, which is not the regular citizen.Mass media and propaganda are therefore tools that must be used by theelite to rule the public without physical coercion. One importantconcept presented by Lippmann is the manufacture of consent, whichis, in short, the manipulation of public opinion to accept the elitesagenda. It is Lippmanns opinion that the general public is notqualified to reason and to decide on important issues. It is thereforeimportant for the elite to decide for its own good and then sellthose decisions to the masses.

That the manufacture of consent is capable of great refinements noone, I think, denies. The process by which public opinions arise iscertainly no less intricate than it has appeared in these pages, andthe opportunities for manipulation open to anyone who understands theprocess are plain enough. . . . as a result of psychological research, coupled with the modern means of communication, the practice ofdemocracy has turned a corner. A revolution is taking place, infinitelymore significant than any shifting of economic power. . . . Under theimpact of propaganda, not necessarily in the sinister meaning of theword alone, the old constants of our thinking have become variables. Itis no longer possible, for example, to believe in the original dogma ofdemocracy; that the knowledge needed for the management of humanaffairs comes up spontaneously from the human heart. Where we act onthat theory we expose ourselves to self-deception, and to forms ofpersuasion that we cannot verify. It has been demonstrated that wecannot rely upon intuition, conscience, or the accidents of casualopinion if we are to deal with the world beyond our reach.WalterLippmann, Public Opinion

It might be interesting to note that Lippmann is one of the founding

fathers of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the most influentialforeign policy think tank in the world. This fact should give you asmall hint of the mind state of the elite concerning the usage of media.

Political and economic power in the United States is concentrated inthe hands of a ruling elite that controls most of U.S.-basedmultinational corporations, major communication media, the mostinfluential foundations, major private universities and most publicutilities. Founded in 1921, the Council of Foreign Relations is the keylink between the large corporations and the federal government. It hasbeen called a school for statesmen and comes close to being an organof what C. Wright Mills has called the Power Elite a group of men, similar in interest and outlook shaping events from invulnerablepositions behind the scenes. The creation of the United Nations was aCouncil project, as well as the International Monetary Fund and theWorld Bank. - Steve Jacobson, Mind Control in the United States

Some current members of the CFR include David Rockefeller, Dick Cheney,Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, mega-church pastor Rick Warren and theCEOs of major corporations such as CBS, Nike,Coca-Cola and Visa.Carl Jung

Carl Jung is the founder of analytical psychology (also known anJungian psychology), which emphasizes understanding the psyche byexploring dreams, art, mythology, religion, symbols and philosophy. TheSwiss therapist is at the origin of many psychological concepts usedtoday such as the Archetype, the Complex, the Persona, theIntrovert/Extrovert and Synchronicity. He was highly influenced by theoccult background of his family. Carl Gustav, his grandfather, was anavid Freemason (he was Grand Master) and Jung himself discovered thatsome of his ancestors were Rosicrucians. This might explain his greatinterest in Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology andsymbolism. One of his most important (and misunderstood) concept wasthe Collective Unconscious.

My thesis, then, is as follows: In addition to our immediateconsciousness, which is of a thoroughly personal nature and which webelieve to be the only empirical psyche (even if we tack on thepersonal unconscious as an appendix), there exists a second psychicsystem of a collective, universal, and impersonal nature which isidentical in all individuals. This collective unconscious does notdevelop individually but is inherited. It consists of pre-existent

forms, the archetypes, which can only become conscious secondarily andwhich give definite form to certain psychic contents.- Carl Jung, TheConcept of the Collective Unconscious

The collective unconscious transpires through the existence of similarsymbols and mythological figures in different civilizations. Archetypalsymbols seem to be embedded in our collective subconscious, and, whenexposed to them, we demonstrate natural attraction and fascination.Occult symbols can therefore exert a great impact on people, even ifmany individuals were never personally introduced to the symbolsesoteric meaning. Mass media thinkers, such as Edward D. Bernays, foundin this concept a great way to manipulate the publics personal andcollective unconscious.

    Edward Bernays

Edward Bernays is considered to be the father of public relations andused concepts discovered by his uncle Sigmund Freud to manipulate thepublic using the subconscious. He shared Walter Lippmanns view of thegeneral population by considering it irrational and subject to theherd instinct. In his opinion, the masses need to be manipulated byan invisible government to insure the survival of democracy. The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits andopinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute aninvisible government, which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideassuggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logicalresult of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vastnumbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are tolive together as a smoothly functioning society.

Our invisible governors are, in many cases, unaware of the identity oftheir fellow members in the inner cabinet.- Edward Bernays, Propaganda

Bernays trailblazing marketing campaigns profoundly changed thefunctioning of American society. He basically created consumerism bycreating a culture wherein Americans bought for pleasure instead ofbuying for survival. For this reason, he was considered by LifeMagazine to be in the Top 100 most influential Americans of the 20thcentury.

    Harold Lasswell

In 1939-1940, the University of Chicago was thehost of a series of secret seminars oncommunications. These think tanks were funded bythe Rockefeller foundation and involved the mostprominent researchers in the fields ofcommunications and sociological studies. One ofthese scholars was Harold Lasswell, a leadingAmerican political scientist and communications

theorist, specializing in the analysis of propaganda. He was also ofthe opinion that a democracy, a government ruled by the people, couldnot sustain itself without a specialized elite shaping and moldingpublic opinion through propaganda. In his Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, Lasswell explained thatwhen elites lack the requisite force to compel obedience, socialmanagers must turn to a whole new technique of control, largelythrough propaganda. He added the conventional justification: we mustrecognize the ignorance and stupidity [of] the masses and notsuccumb to democratic dogmatisms about men being the best judges oftheir own interests.

Lasswell extensively studied the field of content analysis in order tounderstand the effectiveness of different types of propaganda. In hisessay Contents of Communication, Lasswell explained that, in order tounderstand the meaning of a message (i.e. a movie, a speech, a book, etc.), one should take into account the frequency with which certainsymbols appear in the message, the direction in which the symbols tryto persuade the audiences opinion, and the intensity of the symbolsused.

Lasswell was famous for his media analysis model based on:Who (says) What (to) Whom (in) What Channel (with) What EffectBy this model, Lasswell indicates that in order to properly analyze amedia product, one must look at who produced the product (the peoplewho ordered its creation), who was it aimed at (the target audience)and what were the desired effects of this product (to inform, toconvince, to sell, etc.) on the audience.

Using a Rihanna video as an example, the analysis would be as follows:WHO PRODUCED: Vivendi Universal; WHAT: pop artist Rihanna; TO WHOM:consumers between the ages of 9 and 25; WHAT CHANNEL: music video; andWHAT EFFECT: selling the artist, her song, her image and her message. The analyzes of videos and movies on The Vigilant Citizen place a greatimportance on the who is behind the messages communicated to thepublic. The term Illuminati is often used to describe this smallelite group covertly ruling the masses. Although the term sounds quitecaricatured and conspiratorial, it aptly describes the elitesaffinities with secret societies and occult knowledge. However, Ipersonally detest using the term conspiracy theory to describe whatis happening in the mass media. If all the facts concerning the elitistnature of the industry are readily available to the public, can itstill be considered a conspiracy theory?

There used to be a variety of viewpoints, ideas and opinions in popularculture. The consolidation of media corporations has, however, produceda standardization of the cultural industry. Ever wondered why all

recent music sounds the same and all recent movies look the same? Thefollowing is part of the answer:

    The Standardization of Human Thought

The merger of media companies in the last decades generated a smalloligarchy of media conglomerates. The TV shows we follow, the music welisten to, the movies we watch and the newspapers we read are allproduced by FIVE corporations. The owners of those conglomerates haveclose ties with the worlds elite and, in many ways, they ARE theelite. By owning all of the possible outlets having the potential toreach the masses, these conglomerates have the power to create in theminds of the people a single and cohesive world view, engendering astandardization of human thought.

Even movements or styles that are considered marginal are, in fact, extensions of mainstream thinking. Mass medias produce their own rebelswho definitely look the part but are still part of the establishmentand do not question any of it. Artists, creations and ideas that do notfit the mainstream way of thinking are mercilessly rejected andforgotten by the conglomerates, which in turn makes them virtuallydisappear from society itself. However, ideas that are deemed to bevalid and desirable to be accepted by society are skillfully marketedto the masses in order to make them become self-evident norm.

In 1928, Edward Bernays already saw the immense potential of motionpictures to standardize thought:

    12

    13/22

The American motion picture is the greatest unconscious carrier ofpropaganda in the world today. It is a great distributor for ideas andopinions. The motion picture can standardize the ideas and habits of anation. Because pictures are made to meet market demands, they reflect, emphasize and even exaggerate broad popular tendencies, rather thanstimulate new ideas and opinions. The motion picture avails itself onlyof ideas and facts, which are in vogue. As the newspaper seeks topurvey news, it seeks to purvey entertainment. Edward Bernays,Propaganda

These facts were flagged as dangers to human freedom in the 1930 s by

thinkers of the school of Frankfurt such as Theodor Adorno and HerbertMarcuse. They identified three main problems with the culturalindustry.

The industry can:reduce human beings to the state of mass by hindering the developmentof emancipated individuals, who are capable of making rationaldecisions; replace the legitimate drive for autonomy and self-awarenessby the safe laziness of conformism and passivity; and validate the idea

that men actually seek to escape the absurd and cruel world in whichthey live by losing themselves in a hypnotic state self-satisfaction.The notion of escapism is even more relevant today with advent ofonline video games, 3D movies and home theaters. The masses, constantlyseeking state-of-the-art entertainment, will resort to high-budgetproducts that can only be produced by the biggest media corporations ofthe world. These products contain carefully calculated messages andsymbols, which are nothing more and nothing less than entertainingpropaganda. The public has been trained to LOVE its propaganda to theextent that it spends its hard-earned money to be exposed to it.

Propaganda (used in both political, cultural and commercial sense) isno longer the coercive or authoritative communication form found indictatorships: it has become the synonym of entertainment and pleasure.

In regard to propaganda the early advocates of universal literacy anda free press envisaged only two possibilities: the propaganda might betrue, or it might be false. They did not foresee what in fact hashappened, above all in our Western capitalist democracies thedevelopment of a vast mass communications industry, concerned in themain neither with the true nor the false, but with the unreal, the moreor less totally irrelevant. In a word, they failed to take into accountmans almost infinite appetite for distractions. Aldous Huxley,Preface to A Brave New World

A single piece of media often does not have a lasting effect on thehuman psyche. Mass media, however, by its omnipresent nature, creates a

living environment we evolve in on a daily basis. It defines the normand excludes the undesirable. The same way carriage horses wearblinders so they can only see what is right in front of them, themasses can only see where they are supposed to go.

It is the emergence of mass media which makes possible the use ofpropaganda techniques on a societal scale. The orchestration of press, radio and television to create a continuous, lasting and totalenvironment renders the influence of propaganda virtually unnoticedprecisely because it creates a constant environment. Mass media

provides the essential link between the individual and the demands ofthe technological society. Jacques Ellul

One of the reasons mass media successfully influences society is due tothe extensive amount of research on cognitive sciences and human naturethat has been applied to it.

Manipulation TechniquesPublicity is the deliberate attempt to manage the publics perceptionof a subject. The subjects of publicity include people (for example, politicians and performing artists), goods and services, organizationsof all kinds, and works of art or entertainment.

The drive to sell products and ideas to the masses has lead to anunprecedented amount of research on human behavior and on the humanpsyche. Cognitive sciences, psychology, sociology, semiotics, linguistics and other related fields were and still are extensivelyresearched through well-funded studies.

No group of sociologists can approximate the ad teams in the gathering

and processing of exploitable social data. The ad teams have billionsto spend annually on research and testing of reactions, and theirproducts are magnificent accumulations of material about the sharedexperience and feelings of the entire community. - Marshal McLuhan,The Extensions of Man

The results of those studies are applied to advertisements, movies, music videos and other media in order to make them as influential aspossible. The art of marketing is highly calculated and scientificbecause it must reach both the individual and the collectiveconsciousness. In high-budget cultural products, a video is never justa video, Images, symbols and meanings are strategically placed inorder to generate a desired effect.

It is with knowledge of the human being, his tendencies, his desires, his needs, his psychic mechanisms, his automatisms as well as knowledgeof social psychology and analytical psychology that propaganda refinesits techniques. Propagandes, Jacques Ellul (free translation)

Todays propaganda almost never uses rational or logical arguments. Itdirectly taps into a humans most primal needs and instincts in orderto generate an emotional and irrational response. If we always thoughtrationally, we probably wouldnt buy 50% of what we own. Babies andchildren are constantly found in advertisements targeting women for aspecific reason: studies have shown that images of children trigger inwomen an instinctual need to nurture, to care and to protect, ultimately leading to a sympathetic bias towards the advertisement.

Strange old 7up ad using the cuteness of babiesSex is ubiquitous in mass media, as it draws and keeps the viewers

attention. It directly connects to our animal need to breed and toreproduce, and, when triggered, this instinct can instantly overshadowany other rational thoughts in our brain.

Subliminal PerceptionWhat if the messages described above were able to reach directly theviewers subconscious mind, without the viewers even realizing what ishappening? That is the goal of subliminal perception. The phrasesubliminal advertising was coined in 1957 by the US market researcherJames Vicary, who said he could get moviegoers to drink Coca-Cola andeat popcorn by flashing those messages onscreen for such a short timethat viewers were unaware.

Subliminal perception is a deliberate process created bycommunications technicians, by which you receive and respond toinformation and instructions without being consciously aware of theinstructions Steve Jacobson, Mind Control in the United StatesThis technique is often used in marketing and we all know that sexsells.

Although some sources claim that subliminal advertising is ineffectiveor even an urban myth, the documented usage of this technique in massmedia proves that creators believe in its powers. Recent studies havealso proven its effectiveness, especially when the message is negative. A team from University College London, funded by the Wellcome Trust, found that it [subliminal perception] was particularly good atinstilling negative thoughts. There has been much speculation aboutwhether people can process emotional information unconsciously, forexample pictures, faces and words, said Professor Nilli Lavie, who ledthe research. We have shown that people can perceive the emotionalvalue of subliminal messages and have demonstrated conclusively thatpeople are much more attuned to negative words. - Source

A famous example of subliminal messaging in political communications is

in George Bushs advertisement against Al Gore in 2000.

Right after the name of Gore is mentioned, the ending of the wordbureaucrats rats flashes on the screen for a split second.

The discovery of this trickery caused quite a stir and, even if thereare no laws against subliminal messaging in the U.S., the advertisementwas taken off the air.

As seen in many articles on The Vigilant Citizen, subliminal and semi-subliminal messages are often used in movies and music videos tocommunicate messages and ideas to the viewers.

DesensitizationIn the past, when changes were imposed on populations, they would taketo the streets, protest and even riot. The main reason for this clashwas due to the fact that the change was clearly announced by the rulersand understood by the population. It was sudden and its effects couldclearly be analyzed and evaluated. Today, when the elite needs a partof its agenda to be accepted by the public, it is done throughdesensitization. The agenda, which might go against the public bestinterests, is slowly, gradually and repetitively introduced to theworld through movies (by involving it within the plot), music videos(who make it cool and sexy) or the news (who present it as a solutionto todays problems). After several years of exposing the masses to aparticular agenda, the elite openly presents the concept the world and,due to mental programming, it is greeted with general indifference andis passively accepted. This technique originates from psychotherapy.

The techniques of psychotherapy, widely practiced and accepted as ameans of curing psychological disorders, are also methods ofcontrolling people. They can be used systematically to influenceattitudes and behavior. Systematic desensitization is a method used todissolve anxiety so the the patient (public) is no longer troubled by aspecific fear, a fear of violence for example. [...] People adapt tofrightening situations if they are exposed to them enough. StevenJacobson, Mind Control in the United States

Predictive programming is often found in the science fiction genre. Itpresents a specific image of the future the one that is desired bythe elite and ultimately becomes in the minds of men aninevitability. A decade ago, the public was being desensitized to waragainst the Arab world. Today, the population is gradually beingexposed to the existence of mind control, of transhumanism and of anIlluminati elite. Emerging from the shadows, those concepts are noweverywhere in popular culture. This is what Alice Bailey describes asthe externalization of the hierarchy: the hidden rulers slowlyrevealing themselves.

    Occult Symbolism in Pop Culture

Metropolis a movie by the elite, for the elite?

Contrarily to the information presented above, documentation on occultsymbolism is rather hard to find. This should not come as a surprise asthe term occult, literally means hidden. It also means reserved tothose in the know as it is only communicated to those who are deemedworthy of the knowledge. It is not taught in schools nor isit discussed in the media. It is thus considered marginal or evenridiculous by the general population.

Occult knowledge is NOT, however, considered ridiculous in occultcircles. It is considered timeless and sacred. There is a longtradition of hermetic and occult knowledge being taught through secret

societies originating from ancient Egyptians, to Eastern Mystics, tothe Knights Templar to modern day Freemasons. Even if the nature andthe depth of this knowledge was most probably modified and alteredthroughout the centuries, mystery schools kept their main features, which are highly symbolic, ritualistic and metaphysical. Thosecharacteristics, which were an intricate part of ancientcivilizations, have totally been evacuated from modern society to bereplaced by pragmatic materialism. For this reason, there lies animportant gap of understanding between the pragmatic average person andthe ritualistic establishment.

If this inner doctrine were always concealed from the masses, for whoma simpler code had been devised, is it not highly probable that theexponents of every aspect of modern civilization philosophic, ethical, religious, and scientific-are ignorant of the true meaning ofthe very theories and tenets on which their beliefs are founded? Do thearts and sciences that the race has inherited from older nationsconceal beneath their fair exterior a mystery so great that only themost illumined intellect can grasp its import? Such is undoubtedly thecase. - Manly P. Hall, Secret Teachings of All Ages

preaches on a daily basis extreme materialism, spiritual vacuosity anda self-centered, individualistic existence. This is exactly theopposite of the attributes required to become a truly free individual,as taught by all great philosophical schools of thought. Is a dumbed-down population easier to deceive and to manipulate?

These blind slaves are told they are free and highly educated evenas they march behind signs that would cause any medieval peasant to runscreaming away from them in panic-stricken terror. The symbols thatmodern man embraces with the naive trust of an infant would betantamount to billboards reading, This way to your death andenslavement, to the understanding of the traditional peasant ofantiquity - Michael A. Hoffman II, Secret Societies and PsychologicalWarfare

In ConclusionThis article examined the major thinkers in the field of mass media, the media power structure and the techniques used to manipulate themasses. I believe this information is vital to the understanding of thewhy in the topics discussed on The Vigilant Citizen. The mass

population versus ruling class dichotomy described in many articlesis not a conspiracy theory (again, I hate that term), but a realitythat has been clearly stated in the works of some of the 20th centurysmost influential men.

Lippmann, Bernays and Lasswell have all declared that the public arenot fit to decide their own fate, which is the inherent goal ofdemocracy. Instead, they called for a cryptocracy, a hidden government,a ruling class in charge of the bewildered herd. As their ideascontinue to be applied to society, it is increasingly apparent that anignorant population is not an obstacle that the rulers must deal with:It is something that is DESIRABLE and, indeed, necessary, to insuretotal leadership. An ignorant population does not know its rights, doesnot seek a greater understanding of issues and does not questionauthorities. It simply follows trends. Popular culture caters to andnurtures ignorance by continually serving up brain-numbingentertainment and spotlighting degenerate celebrities to be idolized. Many people ask me: Is there a way to stop this? Yes, there is.

STOP BUYING THEIR CRAP!If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, it expects what never wasand never will be.- Thomas Jefferson

    great interest to you.

Mainstream media in the U.S. and most European countries usuallycontain roughly 25 percent truths and 75 percent distorted informationand lies. The percentage of truths and lies will vary depending on thesubject that is being covered. As for the media in other countries, thetruths and lies will vary depending on how control their countries are. Most people in the U.S. do not realize that their mainstream mediaoutlets are owned and controlled by only six corporations. Below aretwo paragraphs extracted from TheEconomicCollapseBlog.com .

Back in 1983, approximately 50 corporations controlled the vastmajority of all news media in the United States. Today, ownership ofthe news media has been concentrated in the hands of just sixincredibly powerful media corporations. These corporate behemothscontrol most of what we watch, hear and read every single day. They owntelevision networks, cable channels, movie studios, newspapers, magazines, publishing houses, music labels and even many of ourfavorite websites.

The six corporations that collectively control U.S. media today areTime Warner, Walt Disney, Viacom, Rupert Murdochs News Corp., CBSCorporation and NBC Universal. Together, the big six absolutelydominate news and entertainment in the United States. But even thoseareas of the media that the big six do not completely control arebecoming increasingly concentrated. For example, Clear Channel now ownsover 1000 radio stations across the United States. Companies likeGoogle, Yahoo and Microsoft are increasingly dominating the Internet.

Why controlling the media is essential for dominationWhy are these six corporations so interested in dominating the U.S.mainstream media? The reason is because the media is one of the mosteffective tools to control the mass population. When they control themedia, they can influence how the public think.

Controlling how the public think is one of the first steps tocontrolling its mind and influencing how it thinks. In other words, this is how they enslave us without our knowledge. Influencing how wethink is great for making them money, because once they influence ourthought patterns to a certain degree, they can motivate us to buy theirunhealthy foods and drugs, and plant false knowledge into our minds.

How to protect yourself from the deceptions in mainstream mediaFor we, the people of the world, to regain our powers and freedom, wewill need to rise above the deceptions and lies found in mainstreammedia, and remove the corrupt leaders who are in charge of it. Untilthe corrupt leaders in mainstream media are removed, my advise is to

believe 25 percent of the news in mainstream media and take the other75 percent as potential false news until you can verify that it istrue. Some great techniques to help you do this are to cross referencethe information with independent sources and use your intuition todiscern the information.

If we, the people of Earth, want to truly be free, we will need tobecome aware of how the magicians of mainstream media deceives us withtheir magic tricks. Some of their magic tricks involve subliminalmessages , news actors and frequency generators that can send energy

Below are three great videos that show proof that the U.S. mainstreammedia is full of lies and distorted information. Even though thesevideos focus on the U.S. mainstream media, many of the tricks that theU.S. mainstream media use to influence the mind of its population arealso heavily practiced in many mainstream media outlets throughout theworld.
