AimThe aim of this experiment is to find out which liquid dissolves the lolly fastest.
HypothesisWe believe that the vinegar will dissolve the lolly the fastest because the acidity will eat it away. The second fastest would be lemon juice, then the lemonade. The boiling water was the control.
Apparatus50ml of vinegar, lemon juice, lemonade and water. A Bunsen burner with tripod, gauze mat, heat proof mat. 4 100ml beakers. 4 raspberry drops. Matches. 4 stop watches.
Method1.Set up Bunsen burner.2.Fill the beakers with 50ml of each liquid.3.Light the Bunsen burner and place the
beaker with water on top.4.Place one raspberry drop in each beakers
and time all of the beakers as soon as you place it in.
5.When each of the raspberry drops have dissolved stop the timer and record in a table.
