FOREWORD
Meridian Mining fr Exploration Coopany Ltd. holds
four properties totalling 96 unpatented Mining claims or
approximately 3840 acres, in three areas of the Thunder Bay
Mining Division, Northwestern Ontario*
Two groups of claims* identified as the North and
South groups of the Lao des Iles property contain numerous
ground electromagnetic anomalies, as well as copper and
nickel mineralisation, south of Lac des Iles, about 50 miles
northwest of the City of Thunder Bay.
The Eva Lake silver property lies in the Beardmore-
Geraldton gold belt, five miles northwest of Beardmore,
Ontario and 100 miles northeast of Thunder Bay.
the Dog River property consists of 20 claims on
which a long, strong, airborne electromagnetio anomaly has
been detected in volcanic formations containing scattered
sulphide mineralisation about 45 miles northwest oi' thunder
Bay.
Programs totalling approximately 119*000 have boon
recommended for initial investigation of the Meridian
li
properties as h** b wen outlined in the following reports of
the innividuril proper-tie*.

Two f*0ft*ible expl&natioa* for the NMgnetio correla
tion are preaentet! AA follow*i
1. the electromagnetic oooduotor could be forwed by con
ductive lake botto* Material aa is often the case with
V.i.F. Method*. In thin caaef the Magnetic reaponee
would le BKpcotod to originate from an abnormal concen
tration of magmatite either within the baftie rook*
coMMion to the area or at the contact between the haaio
intrusive and aurrounding granitea*
2. the leotroMtfWt'iv conductor could b* foraed by
moderate to massive sulfide* in which oass th* magnetic
correlation might be due to pyrrhotite mineralisation.
It should bo pointed out that the ne are two of many possible
explanations but considering nil information available tho***

COKCLUSXOKS AkD RECOMMENDATIONS
AH a rceull of thl* littit^ waftnotio work over

It l*, therefore, recoMmndett that a minima* of 600
