We see nothing wrong with viewing things through a color lens as long as it’s green.Sustainability is the single lens from which we view our market-leading innovations in automotive
experience, power solutions and building efficiency. It is a point of view that keeps us focused on new
ideas, new people, and creative new ways to make the world work better. We can then anticipate
marketplace needs and provide practical, eco-friendly solutions that help redefine the relationships
between people and their surroundings. For us, it’s quite clear that green is the only color that suits our
vision for a more comfortable, safe and sustainable world.

SPEAKERS
Dr. Steve Robbins has an unmatched ability to inspire people even in the midst of disrupting and challenging the way they think about the world. Born in Vietnam, Dr. Robbins immigrated to the United States when he was ve years old. He and his mother faced many challenges as Vietnamese immigrants in a new land, during a time when there was much anti-war and anti-Vietnamese sentiment. Working through and rising out of the challenges of poverty, discrimination and the tough streets of Los AAngeles, Dr. Robbins now brings insightful perspectives on issues of leadership, inclusion & innovation, and the power of caring. Drawing upon a compelling life journey, his talks and workshops are lled with intriguing stories, laugh-out-loud humor and a keen understanding of human behavior. Dr. Robbins received his undergraduate degree from Calvin College, and his master and doctorate degrees from Michigan State University’s top-ranked Department of Communication. His background in communication, socio-psychology and cognitive neuroscience drive his work with individuals and oorganizations - the core of the work is about understanding human behavior in a world full of human differences. Dr. Robbins is the author of What If? Short Stories to Spark Diversity Dialogue.

Chief "What If?" Officer, S.L. Robbins & Associates
CEO ThinkActEvolveDawnna uses her amazing gift to infuse others with excitement and con dence; she shows the audience how to make big impacts through small changes. Audiences listen spellbound, as Dawnna chronicles stories that impacted her life and the challenges that caused her to explode through mediocrity and achieve the highest levels of success.DDawnna St. Louis is an innovation expert and women’s empowerment authority who works with organizations to achieve rapid results through higher levels of performance and unstoppable action.
Award-winning actor/writer Michael Fosberg’s autobiographical play, Incognito, takes diversity training to a dramatically different level. His extraordinary story is engaging on a deeply personal level because it explores how quickly and easily perceptions can be challenged. After thirty years of thinking he was “white”, Michael uncovers his biological father and discovers he is “black”. The result is a deeply moving one-man performance that has broad-based appeal with corporate audiences.

Application is free and open to all U.S. ERGs and Diversity Councils in operation for at least two (2) years and who are responsible for achieving goals for the entire organization; or a council within a company that represents a speciic line of business or business unit. ERGs and Diversity Councils are evaluated on their impact on their organization in four areas of Demonstrated Council Results; Demonstrated Management Commitment; Measurement and Accountability and Communication and Education. The TOP 25 council recipients received recognition and awards at the annual Honors award dinner and ceremony. All applicants receive a complimentary Application Summary RepoReport. The 2014 online application process is scheduled to open in February, 2014. For more infor-mation about the Honors Award, visit DiversityCouncilConference.com.
The Heart & Hustle Award was added in 2013 to recognize certain ERGs and Diversity Councils demon-strating “heart and hustle” in their efforts and results and that distinguish them as an example within their industry. This year’s recipients are the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia and the University of Akron.
For the irst three years of the award the TOP 25 recipients were honored at a reception sponsored by PRISM. However, it soon became clear that ERGs and Diversity Councils wanted and needed expanded opportunities to learn and share best practices, network, celebrate and grow. In October 2012, the irst ERG and Diversity Councils conference was held in Washington D.C. In 2013, the second annual Diversity Council Conference returned to the Washington D.C. area and expanded to two days.
Award and the Conference
The Diversity Council Honors Award™ is the only annual national award that recognizes honors and celebrates the outstanding contributions and achievements of ERGs and Diversity Councils that lead the diversity and inclusion process in their organizations and demonstrate results in their workforce, workplace and marketplace.
The Award was established in 2008 by the Association of ERGs & Councils, a practice group of PRISM International, Inc. Linda Stokes, President and CEO of PRISM, says, "Our irm had assisted organizations with their diversity and inclusion initiatives. We recognized the important contributions and impact that ERGs and Diversity Coun-cils had on their organizations; yet, for all their great efforts there was little national recognition. We wanted to change that.” Philip Berry, Executive Director of the Asso-ciation of ERGs & Councils said, “We wanted to formally recognize, honor and celebrate the best practices and efforts. This was the basis for the Honors Award.“

Rather than a “finger-in-the-wind” or a “beauty contest” approach, the Diversity Value Index, or DVI, is a statistically based, robust method of assessing the business value of diversity and inclusion. The DVI is designed to raise the bar of diversity benchmarking and recognition programs by delivering a strategic, transparent, simple index that focuses on D&I’s value to the business.
And remember to participate in the next DVI, opening Oct. 18, 2013
