READY MIXED CERAMIC TILE ADHESIVESPalace Chemicals reputation as a centre of excellence for ready mixed ceramic tile adhesives was established over 40 years ago with GOLD-FIX followed by the launch of the professionals favourite non-slip adhesive SUPER-GRIP both are D1TE classified under EN12004. SHOWER-PROOF is a D1TE adhesive with extra grab which dries white and is available in a 15 Litre pack.

The range also includes the enhanced performance water resistant adhesives AQUA-TILE and AQUA-FIX (white) adhesives for frequently wet environments (both conform with EN12004 D2TE). This range also features MASTER-GRIP, which is a brilliant white, ready mixed, fibre reinforced ceramic tile adhesive (EN12004 D2TE) with enhanced polymer curing technology, giving improved early bond strength development, even when used with large format tiles. It develops more than 50% higher 24-hour bond strength than any equivalent waterproof ready mixed adhesive.

CEMENT BASED TILE ADHESIVES Palace’s range of cement-based adhesives are available in both standard setting and fast setting formulas and are designed for fixing all tile types to the widest range of surfaces in the most challenging environments. RAPID SET and ALL-WEATHER are adhesives for fixing ceramic tiles to solid surfaces, whereas the enhanced adhesion properties of MULTI-FLEX S1, TRADE-FLEX, POURABLE THICK-BED and EASI-FLEX S1 can all be specified for fixing vitrified & porcelain tiles to impermeable, plywood and heated sub-floors and all are available in both grey and white. For applications where user friendly application is required, EASI-SET S1 is an enhanced standard set with a quicker cure time, whilst EXTRA-LIGHT adhesive is available in a standard & Rapid set offering the same yield from a 10kg pack as a 20kg. SUPER-FLEX S2 adhesives are available in both grey & white, are recommended when fixing to surfaces where vibration & movement is likely and are also available as a high yield, LIGHTWEIGHT & DUST REDUCED SUPER-FLEX S2 product, all conforming to the performance requirements with the S2 classification.

All PALACE adhesives have been independently tested to verify their respective classification & compliance with the performance standard, EN 12004.

CERAMIC TILE GROUTSThe PALACE tile grout range is designed to cover all the requirements of wall & floor joint sealing starting with traditional white super-smooth WALL TILE GROUT for fine joint widths, or a coarse-sanded grey WIDE JOINT GROUT for joints up to 20mm both as a standard EN13888 CG1 grout or with built-in polymer as FLEXI-FLOOR GROUT offering the benefit of polymer modified reinforcement to meet the EN13888 CG2WA performance standard. Palace’s multipurpose ANTI-MOULD WALL & FLOOR GROUT range offers the combined benefit of improved flexural strength, shrink-resistant wide joint properties and also “built-in” biocide protection to resist black spot mould growth offered across a full range of distinct colour shades including WHITE, BAHAMA BEIGE, IVORY, LIMESTONE, ANTHRACITE, SANDSTONE, GREY, CHARCOAL, BROWN, SILVER GREY, GRAPHITE & GUN GREY. For convenience a brilliant white, waterproof Ready Mixed Acrylic grout is also available in a 1 litre tub. Palace COLOUR LOCK GROUT EXTRA SMOOTH is a high-performance range of colours based on specialist lime-free binder technology to ensure the initial colour shade is consistently retained without being affected by efflorescence or age variation, whilst still providing a super smooth, highly resilient, fast-setting polymer fortified and mould resistant grout joint. Colours available are MIDNIGHT, RAVEN, NATURAL GREY, STERLING SILVER, PLATINUM, MOCHA, PARCHMENT, LATTE, ANTIQUE WHITE, SILK, SILVER SHADOW & BRIGHT WHITE.

SURFACE PREPARATION PRODUCTSSubstrate preparation is the most essential step in ensuring a successful long-lasting ceramic tiled floor. Our range of floor smoothing & levelling compounds include single or 2-part SELF LEVEL smoothing underlayment for thin screeds up to 12mm thick and a one-part, high early strength FAST FLEX FLOOR LEVEL which can be laid up to 30mm in a single pour, ideal for covering heated sub-floor elements. THICK-BED floor levelling underlayment is a fibre reinforced with built-in polymer which can be laid up to 80mm deep for restoring the most uneven surfaces. TILERS PRIMER is a multi-purpose surface sealer, primer and bonding agent which can be applied to stabilise and enhance adhesion to a wide range of surfaces including anhydrite screeds whilst SHOWER-TIGHT & WET-ROOM are flexible waterproof tanking systems designed to protect sensitive wall & floor structures in areas where showers or wet-rooms are to be installed & tiled over.

TILE & STONE AFTERCAREFor a perfect, long-lasting finish, cleaning the tiled surface to a high standard will bring out the full quality of the ceramic and stone surface. The PALACE AFTERCARE range provides specialist products to clean tiles either immediately after grouting using GROUT FILM REMOVER or for longer term routine surface maintenance using HEAVY DUTY & ALL-PURPOSE TILE CLEANERS and TILE POLISH & SHINE. Ideally cleaning agents should be used in association with surface treatments to protect against damage caused by exposure to oil and water-based stains and the use of IMPREGNATING SEALER and MARBLE IMPREGNATOR will help maintain a high-quality resilient finish to keep the “as new” appearance of semi-porous natural stone, whereas SATIN SEAL & POLISH and TERRACOTTA SEALER will protect slate, quarry tiles and less permeable stone flooring.

WOOD PRESERVATIVES & FENCE TREATMENTS

A comprehensive selection of approved timber preservatives is available as a range of 6 colours which include CLEAR, RED CEDAR, LIGHT BROWN, DARK BROWN & DARK GREEN shades, all of which are effective against both dry rot and woodworm. PALACE WOOD PRESERVATIVES are non-flammable, low odour, solvent-based & water-repellent treatments for coating and penetrating deep into heavy timbers providing long-term protection in both internal & external environments when used as recommended.

The range is available in 1 litre, 5 litre & 25 litre steel cans and larger sizes including 200 litre drums and 1000 litre IBC’S are available for the professional and industrial user, where bespoke colours designed for the pre-treatment of structural timber beams & fence panels can be formulated to suit a particular application requirement and also ensure the long-term structural integrity of treated timbers.

CREO-COAT is a 100% recycled traditional non-flammable, oil-based coating available in LIGHT & DARK brown shades which can be applied by brush or sprayed onto exterior rough sawn timbers giving a traditional water-repellent timber enriching protective finish.

FENCEGUARD is a water-based, environmentally friendly protective coating available in AUTUMN GOLD, RED CEDAR RED, CHESTNUT BROWN and FOREST GREEN ideal for refreshing the colour & protecting against weathering of exterior garden shed & fence timbers with a water-repellent, colour consistent coating, safe to use around plants & garden wildlife.

FINE TIMBER TREATMENTSPalace fine timber treatments under the LANGLOW brand are ideal for the restoration and renovation of established structural timber features; antique furniture and exterior hardwood garden furniture & timber structures, all of which can benefit from the revitalising properties of Palace’s range of natural oils and fine surface sealers. TEAK OIL is widely used in exterior garden timber furniture treatment to clean, protect and enhance the appearance on a seasonal basis while BOILED LINSEED OIL will provide a rich sheen finish for more decorative applications. RAW LINSEED OIL is well known for prolonging the lifetime of timber by preventing cracking and splitting, but still maintain a natural matt surface finish. For a unique and high quality interior protective finish LANGLOW PATINA is a specialist blend of oils & resins supplied as a clear easy to apply gel to enhance, restore & prolong the quality appearance of wooden rails, spindles, stair boards including chairs & tables in need of a refreshed original look. The LANGLOW Fine Timber Treatments range also offers the restorer the tools to clean & prepare and LANGLOW PATENT KNOTTING SOLUTION will seal resinous knots in new & renovated timber prior to applying a final decorative finish coat.

STRIP AWAY PAINT REMOVERSThe LANGLOW STRIP AWAY range offers proven chemical solutions designed for application in a systematic approach to ensure safe and effective surface coatings removal within a contained environment.LANGLOW STRIP AWAY is a caustic poultice paste to be used only with the unique laminated STRIP AWAY BLANKET which will then liquefy up to 30 layers of coating to reveal the clean base substrate beneath.

However, where the use of a corrosive substance or a volatile solvent-based system is not possible then STRIP AWAY LV is a safer alternative system which will penetrate and blister a wider range of paint types again when used with the STRIP AWAY BLANKET to ensure the full activity of this low odour, non-flammable emulsified paste is directed into the coating layers below.

To pre-determine which of the two STRIP AWAY options will be effective on the coating selected, each formula is available within a STRIP AWAY TEST PACK providing 250ml of each so that a pre-test will confirm the most effective route to specifying the best suited product.

Where safety and environmental concerns are of prime concern, especially in small localised paint removal applications, the use of STRIP AWAY GEL is our safest stripper solution, however when a quicker blistering effect is desired. STRIP AWAY STRIP n LIFT gives a highly effective action both in the short & medium term after application, still without the risk of introducing flammability or excessive VOC levels into the working area.

BUILDING CHEMICALS AND ADMIXTURESThe Palace building chemicals range equips the builder with all the admixtures and additives likely to be needed on site including ADMIX the traditional bricklayers favourite air-entraining & frost-proofing mortar plasticiser. For rendering, plastering & flooring screed finishes INTRAPRUF integral water-proofer is a further enhanced plasticiser with long-term waterproofing benefits, whilst CEMENT SET is a chloride-free set-accelerating additive for concrete & mortar applications in low temperature environments. SBR BOND is a high-performance multi-functional admixture & surface treatment for use to improve bond strength & durability when combined with cement-based mortars used for rendering plastering & screeding floors. Cleaning external drives and paved areas can easily be handled using PATIO CLEANER a water-based concentrate which removes green moss and algae growth.

In addition to improving the flow and set properties of mortars LIQUID MORTA DYES and POWDER MORTAR DYES available in BLACK, RED, YELLOW & BROWN are available as easy to incorporate additives to give a bespoke coloured mortar for optimum appearance in roof-joint pointing, bricklaying mortars & paving joints.

DECORATING SUNDRIESLanglow Decorating Sundries are a comprehensive range of DIY products designed for surface preparation and clean-down both before and after any form of decorating or painting project is undertaken. Langlow decorating sundries include highly effective user-friendly solvents such as WHITE SPIRIT an essential aid when using oil-based coatings, whereas TURPS SUBSTITUTE is an excellent cleaning agent for grease & oil stain removal. METHYLATED SPIRIT is a highly versatile water miscible solvent, ideal for glass & hard surface cleaning, by being fast drying to a smear-free finish and is also recommended for use in specified fondue burners. Solvents available for use as clean, smokeless fuels also include LAMP OIL, BARBECUE FLUID & PARAFFIN.

The cleaning range is extended to include WALLPAPER STRIPPER which helps soften & lift established wallpaper coverings SUGAR SOAP (liquid & powder concentrates) for cleaning old and stained paint-work whilst BRUSH CLEANER and BRUSH RESTORER are essential aids in maintaining the working lifetime of brushes and ideal for cleaning stains from other textile based materials. Langlow TEREBINE DRIERS offer an easy way to re-invigorate the drying properties of old, yet valuable oil-based paints once it has been vigorously re-agitated back into the paint gel prior to coating out.

Preparation of surfaces often requires minor repair work as well as cleaning and the Langlow Decorative sundries range offers a range of fillers designed for any type of surface repair. Langlow POWDER FILLER and PLASTER FILLER are fast setting gypsum-based repair compounds for interior plastered walls, whilst READY MIXED FILLER is a convenient, ready to use, quick drying and flexible white repair compound. Specialist high quality surface repairs are also possible using a brilliant white FINE SURFACE FILLER, ideal for small cracks, nicks and shallow depressions whereas ULTRA-LIGHT FILLER is a brilliant white, extremely light repair compound giving high-build, non-slump finish on almost any surface elevation whilst its’ super-smooth formula allows it to be finished without the need for sanding to give a perfect level with just one strike of the trowel. All fillers are available in tubs or flexi-handy tube packaging.

PAINTS, ADHESIVES & SEALANTSThe Palace Decorative paints range offers high-quality coatings to cover the fundamental needs of most types of interior & exterior renovation & refurbishment tasks. CONTRACT MATT is a high opacity finish for recently plastered walls & ceilings available in WHITE & MAGNOLIA, whilst Palace TEXTURED PAINT is a coarse-aggregated coating to cover rough textured interior & exterior walls. MASONRY PAINT is a durable acrylic based coating which gives a weather-resistant, smooth exterior finish over render, brickwork & pebbledash walls Ideally when they have been prepared using STABILISING SOLUTION which gives a micro-sealed sealed & bound surface on which to paint over. On exterior walls where the natural stone look is to be preserved and protected from weathering. WATERSEAL provides a water repellent, breathable, clear matt finish to prevent the ingress of rainwater and thereby inhibit the damaging effects of frost & mould growth. WATERSEAL is available as a quick drying solvent-based solution and also a safe to use water-based, non-flammable water repellent silicone micro-emulsion.

The Palace building adhesives range covers a wide range of trades and applications including joinery, panel-fitting and decorating. Traditional MULTI-PURPOSE PVA adhesive is now available as a high strength EN 204 D2 adhesive, sealer & primer or alternatively CONTRACT PVA offers a general-purpose surface preparation solution for priming & sealing porous substrates. SBR BOND is a high-performance multi-functional additive & surface treatment for use to improve bond strength & durability when combined with cement-based mortars.

Decorating applications are catered for with traditional WALLPAPER PASTE soluble starch flake adhesive in a wide range of pack sizes whilst heavy duty papers can be hung using high strength READY MIXED WALL-COVERING ADHESIVE, whilst BORDER OVERLAP adhesive will fix strip-edgings & over-laps onto less porous substrates.

Palace cartridge packed sealants & adhesive cover a wide range of applications. DECORATORS CAULK & FRAME SEALANT are over-paintable & for smooth sealing of gaps and cracks around internal doors, joinery and framework. MULTI-PURPOSE SILICONE SEALANT (in 5 colours) forms a highly waterproof rubber-like flexible seal around utilities, ceramics & glazing, whilst COLOUR-LOCK 100% SILICONE SEALANT complements the full range of 12 COLOUR-LOCK grout colours. ROOF & GUTTER sealant is a black butyl-based compound for sealing roof tiles, guttering & down-pipes.

When fixing to porous surfaces, low VOC NAIL-FREE will bond readily to porous surfaces whilst solvent-based PALA-GRIP forms a high-strength bond even when fixing impermeable components such as metal stair edgings. FIX & SEAL and GRAB & FIX are MS POLYMER based adhesive & sealing compounds which form very high strength bonds to a wide range of materials even when applied in very wet & immersed environments.
