It gives us immense pleasure to share with you, through this Newsletter, the

happenings at Electronics Department during January 2016– June 2016. This period was quite an eventful with many activities. Electronics Depart-

ment since its inception in 1988 has been continuously working to achieve excel-lence. We work with obsession to enrich ourselves with knowledge and ethics. Our asset is to maintain consistency in growth rate. This is a phenomenal success story difficult to be summarize in few pages. However, we the members of Editorial board have worked to present before all of you, a nut shell half yearly report of activities at department entitled e-Evolutions. versity Seoul Korea,’ visited Electronics department on 1st Feb 2016. He is among the World’s

Most Influencing Scientific Minds in the field of metamaterials. His research contribution attract-

ed over 10000 Citations and over 46 H-index. He delivered a talk on “METAMATERIALS FOR

DEFENSE”. He also gave information about opportunities for engineering students in South

Korea.

DKTE’s ELECTRONICS Students project got selected for International Project Competi-tion of ARM Design contest 2015. This competition theme is based on “Smart Transport System”. DKTE students filed proposal on “Adaptive Traffic Light control for the Intelligent Transportation System”. The idea behind this concept, it will investigate how an adaptive set of signals could be integrated intovehicle speed advisory system so as to use the information about the vehicles ap-proaching the signal to both adjust the phasing of the signal and speed of the approaching vehicles. This system is used to increase the flow of traffic and fuel efficiency of the vehicles. In this project, a model junction with several traffic flow from the different directions so as to provide the realistic requirements. The basic aim of this competition is to promote the students to become an entrepreneur. To come up with new technology innovations applicable for the society. Mr. Abhinandan Patil, Mr Raj Lonkar and Mr Rupesh Patil contributed for this project. They got valuable guidance from Prof N B Kapase. They got all the support and encouragement from our Respected Vice Principal Prof Dr Mrs L S Admuthe and Principal Prof Dr P. V. Kadole.

Techsymposium 2K16

Our Institute conducted National Level Technical Event 'Tech-Symposium 2016' on Satur-

day, 13th February 2016. It included activities like Embedded system programming, Circuit

Builder (Electronics Department), Poster presentation, Project competition (Electronics and

Telecommunication Department), Solid Modeling, Cyclomech-Assembly of cycle

(Mechanical Department), Cyber Knight (C, C++ programming), Paper presentation

(Computer Science and Engineering Department), Kutuhal(Quiz Competition), Campus In-

terview (Information Technology Department). Tech-symposium was inaugurated by Mr.

Sandeep Suryavanshi, Chief Operating Officer, Jade Global, Pune. More than 900 students

from various colleges participated in the event. Tech-symposium 2016 was a huge learning

experience for all the participants.

Workshop on Embedded C Programming

One Day Workshop on “Embedded C Programming” for Final Year Diploma Students was orga-

nized by Department of Electronics Engineering on 20th February 2016. 81 students from different

diploma colleges (SIT Polytechnic Yadrav, Datta Polytechnic Shirol, YD Mane Polytechnic Kagal,

Vitthal Polytechnic Miraj, YCP Polytechnic Ichalkaranji) attended this workshop. This workshop

will be helpful to students for the Development of 8051 Based Projects during their academics. The

workshop was conducted by Mr. P M Jadhav, Mr. N B Kapase and Mr. M K Patil from Electronics

Department and concluding session was given by Prof. S D Gokhale.

Circuit Simulation and PCB Designing Workshop

One day Workshop on“Circuit Simulation and PCB Designing” for diploma students was orga-

nized by Department of Electronics Engineering on 27th February 2016. 50 students from different di-

ploma colleges attended this workshop. This workshop is helpful for students in doing simulation of dif-

ferent analog/digital circuits, Design of PCBs using Proteus software. This workshop is conducted by

Mr P M Jadhav, Mr N B Kapase Mr P P Zirmite and Mr M K Patil from Electronics Department.

Skill Development Workshop

Department of Electronics Engg. and Students’ Chapter of IETE of our Institute organized Two

Day Workshop on 'Skill Development', conducted by Dr.Mrs.Madhuri Hebbalkar, Director of

'Annapurna Institute Of Management Research' - Sankeshwar for Second & Third Year Electronics

Engg. students on 25th & 26th February 2016. She shared the details of the Personality Development,

Success Mantras, Teamwork, Employability Skills & Time Management. Total 150 students attended

this workshop. The workshop was Coordinated by Mr.M K Patil & Mr. A.V.Shah under guidance of

Prof.Dr.(Mrs.), L.S.Admuthe.

Women’s Day Celebration

Womens’s Day' is Celebration of Respect, Appreciation, and Love towards women for their Economic, Political, and Social achievements. To salute the power of women, Institute organized ‘Women’s Day’ on Tuesday 8th March 2016. Mrs.Bharatiji Changediya was the Guest of Honor for the function, which was presided by Dr.Mrs.Sapnatai Awade. Mrs. Bharatiji addressed the girl stu-dents regarding the empowerment of girls and how the media is representing women of Indian Society. Dr Mrs. Sapanatai Awade guided the students regard-ing how to balance the professional and personal life with values. All the female students and Ladies faculty members were present on this occasion. Students exhibited their talent in various events like Singing, Poem reciting, Drama and Presentation on the legend lady ‘Ramabai Rande’, during this function & also they came up with great ideas with posters. The function was co-ordinated by Dr.Mrs. L.S.Admuthe,Mrs.P.S.Puri and Mrs.A.R.Patil.

Placement Records

In emotional atmosphere inside the seminar Hall in the college campus the farewell

function to the 25th batch of BE ETRX was held on 6th April 2016. Ms. Rafat Peerjade,

Mr. H. Kudalkar and other students reminiscence their college days and thanked the

teachers for their endearing efforts in shaping up the destiny of a students and for being

there when it mattered. Vice Principal Prof. (Mrs) L.S. Admuhte Felicitated of students

who grabbed various prizes in different Inter college co curricular and extracurricular

competitions as well as GATE qualified students. It was followed by presenting me-

mentos to the students adjudged for Best Project. Project titled ‘Rasperry Pi based

object tracking and observing system’ comprising of students Onkar Dhandale, Praful

Sutar, Sagar Kine, Trushita Salokhe, Ashwini Shinde was declared as Best Project .

Function came to end by inspiring speech by Vice Principal and HOD Prof. L.S. Ad-

muthe. The program was conducted by Prof. S.D.Gokhale.

Industrial Visit

Department has arranged industrial visit of TE electronics class in on 23rd March 2016.
