Diversity is paramount.

The range of topics.

The place to

grow your business.

On 6 October 2015 LABVOLUTION will celebrate its premiere

and open the doors to the entire world of modern laboratory

technology.

LABVOLUTION – the new trade fair for laboratory technology

in Northern Europe – will bring trade visitors together

with suppliers and service providers. And you won’t need to

travel the world to get there. It is easy to get to LABVOLUTION

in Hannover – you could even visit the two events in

one day.

As an interdisciplinary, cross-industry platform for laboratory

technology, LABVOLUTION presents all the trends and

innovations from diverse areas such as research, analysis,

production and training laboratories.

LABVOLUTION is a meeting-place for industry, research and

science. You will also benefit from optimal conditions

that ensure the right setting for developing business leads,

testing out innovations and evaluating market trends.

Products & services:

■ Lab equipment and infrastructure, laboratory automation,

robotics, communication and information technology

■ Analysis – analytical aids and equipment through to

quality control, measuring and testing technology

■ Supplies and consumables, reagents and chemicals

■ Applications and processes: analysis, process technology,

biotechnology, medical technology, nanotechnology,

microsystems technology, etc.

■ Specialist services: data banks, specialist literature,

contract research and development, contract analysis,

rapid prototyping, etc.

The intelligent lab of the

future. smartLAB.

The special presentation smartLAB is a vehicle for the vision

of the intelligent laboratory – a concept developed by scien-

tists and company representatives from across Germany.

LABVOLUTION provides the first opportunity to demonstrate

the smartLAB and show how digitalization and Industry 4.0

will transform laboratories.

smartLAB Vision: The future is now.

Looking forward, the priorities are the establishment of com-

mon networking standards, the integration of procedures

and standardized measures to create a laboratory environ-

ment that allows for flexibility and customization to spe-

cific requirements. smartLAB addresses all these issues and

demonstrates the benefits of a smart lab and the solutions:

automation, information technology, human-machine

interaction and learning from Big Data.

smartLAB prototype: experiencing progress.

A digital network was specially developed for the prototype

smartLAB to connect equipment and devices from different

manufacturers. The system was built on the basis of the ball-

room concept and comprises individual laboratory modules

integrated within an innovative honeycomb structure to

facilitate maximum flexibility.

smartLAB trends: a vision of the future.

The integration of hardware and software is one key part of

the display, but robotics and “wearables” also have an impor-

tant role to play. Intelligent lab glasses provide eye protection,

and thanks to camera and sensor functions can also be used

to monitor processes, communicate data and facilitate video

documentation. During the event there will be a number

of daily demonstrations of four smartLAB applications:

preparation of media, spectroscopic analysis, polymerase

chain reaction (PCR) and 3D printing.

The smartLAB network: knowledge transfer and dialogue.

The special smartLAB presentation will not only give you an

insight into the lab of the future but also provide excellent

opportunities for effective knowledge transfer and

networking:

■ Supporting program with keynote speakers

■ Panel discussions

■ Company and scientific talks and presentations

It goes without saying that the members of the Core Group are

interested in meeting trade visitors for talks and discussions.

Investing in knowledge.

Klinkner & Partner.

You can combine your trade fair visit with a training session.

In cooperation with training specialists and consultants

Klinkner & Partner we have organized several half-day

seminars in the Convention Center during LABVOLUTION.

Seminar topics at LABVOLUTION:

■ Validation of test procedures acc. to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

■ Introduction to microbiological QC and GMP

■ Establishment and validation of GMP-compliant

microbiological test procedures

■ Round robin testing – Reference material – Reference

procedures

■ QM basic knowledge

■ Electronic document control

■ QM in research

■ Current criteria of the German accreditation body DakkS

for test laboratories

A perfect symbiosis.

ELA & LABVOLUTION.

EUROPEAN LAB AUTOMATION 2015 in

Hannover – following a major success

in Hamburg and Barcelona, we have

collaborated with our partner SELECTBIO in order to stage this

important event for laboratory automation and technology

during LABVOLUTION.

There is no better place than the ELA for discussions on new

developments and trends relevant to lab technology – from

lab automation and personalized medicine technologies

to genome engineering. The conference language is English.
