Metropolitan Education (DME) provides

education in the fields of Law, Journalism

and Management through a model which

inculcates the right set of knowledge,

Globalization have resulted in a paradigm

shift in the job market. Firstly, jobs in the

Government sector have shrunk and are

being replaced by jobs in the private

sector. Secondly, Indian Economy has

progressed from “Manufacturing-Based”

to “Service-Based” with close to 60% of

the Indian GDP being contributed by the

services sector. Thirdly, the job market is

integrating itself with the global scenario

in terms of competencies. Thus, the

student needs to prepare according to

this changing job scenario.

Among the various conferences and seminars that DME Media School organizes at regular intervals, ICAN has emerged as a brand in just one year.

The key concept of organizing this international conference is to give a platform to researchers, academicians and students to present their research work, interact with people from the industry and to share new thoughts for the betterment of mankind.

Community ConnectCommunity ConnectCommunity Connect

The Community Connect committee at DME provides aid to disadvantaged group and supports those organization which best serve their needs. Community service is the best way to instill a spirit of service empathy, compassion and civic engagement among the students. The committee is also responsible for inculcating the value of community life amongst the students and faculties through participation in charitable causes. Events include food distribution drives, clothes donation drives, awareness drives etc.

A Community is a group of individuals connected to each other by one or more attribute(s). The element that links them together is at the core, and is the essence of the group. Just as denoted by the root and the suffix of the word (common-unity), a certain segment of the population is united by a familiar thread. A community is a recognizable strand used to bring people together to advocate and support each other in the fight to overcome those threats. As human beings, we need a sense of belonging, and that sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop.

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goesout of their way to make life beautiful for others.”

RECENT RESEARCH PROJECT

Research and Innovation in Media (RIM), the research wing of the DME Media School focuses at creating value and innovation in the field of mass media through the best research practices, thus empowering the industry with the most efficient and result-oriented ideas.

DME Media School recently joined hands with DME Law School and undertook a live research project in the settings of General Elections 2019 titled Issues of Voting and Media Usage in General Elections 20 19: Opinion of Youth in Lok Sabha Constituencies of Delhi under the banner of RIM.

Media is dynamic and all-pervading part of our lives. From being the fourth pillar of democracy to quietly sneaking its way into everybody's lives in the form of advertising and public relations, it affects and modifies the society's culture, psychology, habits, economy and governance to an extent that nothing else does.

The project was converted into a book titled Issues of Voting and Media Usage by Youth. The study also received media coverage by Delhi Aaj Tak news channel and Swen Today, a digital vertical.
