Overview DUN  &  BRADSTREET  WEB  VISITOR  ID

Dun  &  Bradstreet  curates  the  world’s  largest  commercial  database.  This  data  gives  our  customers  a  competitive  advantage  that  helps  them  pinpoint  and  target  the  right  high  value  digital  audiences,  hone  campaign  segmentation,  identify  anonymous  website  visitors,  and  connect  online  and  offline  activities  with  accounts  conclusively  with  our                        D-‐U-‐N-‐S  Number®,  a  unique  business  identifier.  D&B  Web  Visitor  ID  embedded  within  Adobe  Analytics  identifies  your  anonymous  web  visitors  to  help  you  enhance  website  engagement  and  turn  unknown  visitors  into  leads.

By  uncovering  truth  and  meaning  from  data,  Dun  &  Bradstreet  connects  customers  with  the  prospects,  suppliers,  clients  and  partners  that  matter  most,  and  have  since  1841.  Nearly  ninety  percent  of  the  Fortune  500,  and  companies  of  every  size  around  the  world,  rely  on  our  data,  insights  and  analytics.

ABOUT  DATA  CONNECTORS

Adobe  provides  organizations  with  actionable,  real-‐time  intelligence  regarding  their  digital  strategies  and  marketing  initiatives.  Data  connectors  let  you  import  tracking  data  from  third-‐party  applications  into  Analytics,  so  you  can  gather  and  use  data  from  one  central  location.  If  you  use  one  of  the  partner  products,  you  can  create  an  integration  that  imports  the  application  data  into  marketing  reports.  Once  integrated,  you  can  generate  reports  that  include  data  from  your  application.

For  example,  an  email  integration  might  use  an  e-‐mail  partner  to  distribute  an  e-‐mail  campaign.  When  visitors  come  to  your  website  you  want  to  know  which  ones  came  in  response  to  your  email  campaign.  Data  connectors  integrate  data  from  your  email  partner  into  marketing  reports  so  that  you  can  determine  the  overall  effectiveness  of  your  email  campaign.

PREREQUISITES  FOR  CONFIGURING  AN  INTEGRATION

Before  configuring  an  Adobe  Data  Connectors  integration  for  your  product,  prepare  the  following:

• Have  the  necessary  access  credentials  for  the  partner  product  account,  with  rights  to  access  all  data  you  want  to  integrate  with  marketing  reports.  You  might  want  to  create  a  special  e-‐mail  account  for  report  distributors  and  for  notification  concerning  the  integrated  operations.

• Identify  the  custom  variables  (eVars)  that  hold  your  campaign  information.  This  is  commonly  referred  to  as  the  campaign  tracking  code,  but  your  organization  might  use  some  other  terminology.

• Determine  the  events  that  you  want  to  receive  impressions  and  click  data.  You  might  want  to  rename  the  events  accordingly.

• Place  the  appropriate  code  on  your  landing  page  so  that  Adobe  Analytics  can  perform  appropriate  modeling  with  the  data  that  comes  from  the  partner  product.  Specific  instructions  for  each  partner  product  are  found  in  the  in  the  Data  Connectors  Showcase  on  the  Resources  tab.

• To  fully  activate  an  Adobe  Data  Connectors  integration  your  account  will  have  to  have  administrative  privileges  to  the  target  Report  Suite.

Before  configuring  the  D&B  Web  Visitor  ID  integration  you  must:

• Create  a  web  property  in  Adobe  DTM  • Create  a  Report  Suite  in  Adobe  Analytics  prior  to  completing  the  D&B  Web  Visitor  ID  integration  wizard.  • Request  and  receive  an  API  key  from  Dun  &  Bradstreet  –  www.dnb.com/marketing/media/adobe-get-api.html.

Once  you  have  those  items  complete,  move  on  to  the  next  step.
