DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint A New Way of Enhanced Content Utilization for SAP and SharePoint

Today SharePoint can be fully leveraged for complete SAP content lifecycle management and become the basis to extend SAP content enhanced processes to include SharePoint side content, utilization, collaboration forms, transaction and workflows activities tightly linked to the SAP side of the process.   DocSet.ECM takes those SharePoint capabilities to a new, integrated level and addresses the need to truly optimize content utilization on both the SAP side and the SharePoint side of business processes. DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint enhances and extends content rich SAP processes with SAP side and SharePoint side content workspaces that enhance content utilization yielding optimized user productivity and extended access to content across the enterprise.   DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint extends the SAP system with a process-oriented and application-spanning view of all related business documents across SAP systems, SAP modules, and even non-SAP systems. DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint is able to clearly show documents using a hierarchical tree of folders. Users can work with all the necessary documents even without deeper knowledge of SAP system and its transactions. SharePoint users enjoy the very same business process oriented view of document sets and can perform the same document actions as the inside SAP user can; recall, view, store, move/reorganize and delete. Regardless of whether the user is in SAP or in SharePoint, the standard SAP ArchiveLink and DMS services handle and execute all activities, keeping both SAP and SharePoint workspaces 100% in synch; SAP is the business system of record and SharePoint the enterprise content management system.   Non-SAP documents can originate from multiple sources, such as host systems, legacy SAP systems, data archiving, or customer-specific applications. Through the SAPGUI interface or SharePoint/ Microsoft® Windows user interface, DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint gives users a document-centric view of business processes. Even occasional users can retrieve content using SharePoint search and the easy-to use and customizable navigation in folder structures.

Use Cases for DocSet.ECM DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint consolidates content and associates business data with it, allowing cross-departmental or cross-business unit collaboration. For example, operating with “one face to the customer” and providing front-office employees with a complete view of all customer interactions ensures quality customer relations and services—meaning increased revenue. Improve the effectiveness of Accounts Receivable Processing: The effectiveness of your Accounts Receivable (AR) department depend on the collection of due payments. Inefficient collection processes prolong collection time, increase bad debt, and erode your bottom line revenue. Employees in AR departments need supporting information from multiple sources to reconcile differences with customers. DocSet.ECM for SAP and SharePoint can help streamline the AR process by eliminating the time-consuming need to manually retrieve documents from multiple departments and filing systems, look to coworkers for answers, and waiting for information to be sent.
