REPORT ON JOB PLACEMENTAND EXTERNAL TRANSFER
OF 1986 GRADUATES
The Report on Job Placement and External Transfer of 1986Graduates covers two major areas: the employment status andapproximate salary ranges of graduates who joined the work forceand a list of colleges and universities currently attended fulltime by graduates who elected to continue their education.
This report helps to identify the goals and career directions ofJ986 graduates of the College and provides important informationthat can be used in the recruitment and advising of students. It
is hoped that is will be useful to both prospective and currentstudents, tc guidance counselors in the state and to businessesand industries that are poterkial employers of our graduates.
In order to obtain the information contained in this report, asurvey was conducted by the Job Placement Office on a continuousbasis from November, 1986 through February, 1987. First, aquestionnaire was mailed to the graduates and the return wasapproximately 57%. As a followup, a telephone survey wasconducted which produced a return of an additional 28%. A sampleof the questionnaire used can be found on p.59.
The survey results show that 84% of the graduates are employed,33% of the graduates are continuing their education and 2% of thegraduates are unemployed. Some graduates are both employed andcontinuing their education. A further breakdown of thesestatistics can be found within the report.
