Enabling students with a variety of complex needs to express their thoughts or cap- ture their learning. These ses- sions are guided by our Skills and Development Coaches to enable students to reflect on their learning journey. We’re registered with Giftaid, so your donation goes as far as possible. £10 – Provides cookery ingre- dients for a bespoke cookery session. This is adapted to the needs of the students so could focus around healthy eating, preparation of family meals for pregnant teenag- ers, or for young people with physical or mental barriers to enable them to develop skills to help them live more independently. £20 – Supported transport provision for a student to ac- cess a Lapwing project. Without such sup- port many students are un- able to get to the provision due to physical or mental barriers and would otherwise remain isolated at home. £30 – Kitchen hire for bespoke cookery session. is provides a safe and supportive environment for students to learn essential new skills. £30 – A half day placement at a variety of educational settings. Depending on the indi- vidual needs and aspirations of our students this can fund half a days placement at a Care Farm, Riding School, Horticultural project and many more stimulating and supportive environments. £2,500 – Supported work experience placement for 3 months £55 – Half a day of specialist 1:1 support from a Lapwing Skills and Development Coach. All our Coaches are highly skilled and trained to adapt to the individual needs of our students. £100 – Half a day of 1:1 tuition from a qualified Lapwing Tutor. Lapwing tutors specialise in making individual assessments of the needs of our students and tailoring an individual learning programme to meet their needs. Our tutors deliver a wide variety of qualifications and subjects, ranging from AQAs in developing independence skills to City and Guilds English or Maths qualifi- cations. £110 – A full day of specialist 1:1 support from a Lapwing Skills and Development Coach. £250 – Setting up specialist work experience placement. We encourage our students where possible to develop skills to enable them to live more independently which includes having the skills to be employable. We seek out specialist work experience placements tailored to the needs of our students which provide a supportive and stimulating environment. We oſten offer phased support to our stu- dents so that they can commence a placement with 1:1 support from Lapwing but as their confidence grows they can begin to access this independently. £1,200 – Teen Expectations placement for 6 week programme
