Flavio Rodrigues - Anyway After more than 15 years working with different big names of Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Pop-Rock, World Music, and many other styles as a guest, musical director, guitarist, singer or composer in international tours, studio collaborations, musicals, movie sound tracks, in over 45 countries, this young and experienced artist came to present his own work, actually released on his new album “Anyway” – 2009. The songs are mostly his own compositions, and they move between the most pure flamenco style and his Brazilian roots, including some jazz elements. The trade press has been quick to recognize and recommend "Anyway", as one of the best and most interesting albums of recent times:

“… one of the most original albums of the summer…” (Flamenco World - 2010).

“… an imprecindible album for the future of flamenco…” (Aire Flamenco – 2010). “… a very pleasant surprise for the assimilation of the spirit of the real flamenco and the instrumental contributions provided by the original arrangements …” (Jondo Web – 2010).

“… he goes into flamenco’s land in full knowledge of the facts…” (D. Sevilla - 2011).

“… with Anyway, he has achieved a dominant position in the Spanish flamenco, a name, and develop his own sound…” (Galileo Music – Germany, 2009) .

Flamenco World’s on line review – 2008.

‘Tiempo muerto’ is the original soundtrack of the show with the same name which Granada-born bailaor Rafael Amargo premiered at the Auditorio Kursaal (San Sebastián-December 2006). The music is composed by flutist Juan Parrilla and guitarist Flavio Rodrigues, with lyrics by the bailaor himself. Maite Maya, Camarón de Pitita and Carmina Cortés appear on cante, among others. The instrumentation includes percussions, flute, violin, piano and keyboards, cello, plus choruses and clapping. María la Coneja contributes special collaboration playing the castanets. The repertoire is framed in flamenco styles such as the martinete, soleá, fandango abandolao, a zambra paying tribute to Lola Flores and tangos, among others. One of the best flamenco soundtracks of the last few years.
