Course Requirements
Students need to produce work journals and final pieces
for each unit.
All units are individually assessed using a similar assessment grid as at GCSE.
There is a full length mock examination in January.
Field days
Visits to London galleries are an exciting way of researching artists. Tate Modern, Saatchi, V&A, British Museum, NPG, NG, and the Photographers Gallery are all popular venues.
Educational visits abroad
• In recent years the Art & Photography department has visited; Florence, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam and this year will be Venice.
A Photography A’level can lead to many interesting university courses
and to a wide variety of growing careers: Photographer, Film and Tv
Production, Graphic Design, Game and Web Design, Illustration,
to are accepted as third subjects by 90% of universities.
