I played around with many of the adobe after effects features to create a 5 second animation of a special effect.

This is my time line

and I added the

video clip, and

made fire features

through the

components of the software.

I used the pen tool in order to create a new “solid”

layer. This would allow me to insert an object at a

certain frame time. I decided to play around with the

curves, lighting exposure and hue in order to get a fire look. As if the gun was about to shoot.

The time line shows the animation. I made sure all of the different times have different

fire effects in order to achieve a smooth animation. Therefore the red layers on the

image are placed at different spots so as one comes, the other goes.

Finally I downloaded pre-set

shockwaves in order to give a more

realistic and cool look. I got the

eclipse tool and made sure the

shock wave was 3D and this made it

look as if the gun is actually shooting

the wave. Rather than the

shockwave being in the middle/
