„ZADUSZKI” is a day of prayer for the souls of
the dead.In Poland celebrated NOVEMBER
2, day after All Saints' Day.
On that day crowds of people visit cemeteries,
the graves of the family and participate in the worship
services , praying for the dead . That day a tradition of lighting
candles on the graves of the dead and placing flowers and
wreaths.The first day of November
is a holiday in Poland.
November 1 - people visit the graves of their loved ones
1 and 2 November in the big cities can not be reached by car in around the cemetery.
Policemen help
direct traffic.
The designated special buses and trams,
which they take people around the cemetery.
Many people go there on foot.
At the first days of November the cemeteries look the most
beautiful in the evening.
Chrysanthemums are the most popular flowers on the graves.
