July 2007: Amul took a dig at actress Bipasha Basu too, when pictures of her getting intimate with
footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in a club in Lisbon were splashed all over the media.
February 2011: This Amul ad shows the controversy created by actor Arunoday Singh during the
promotion of his movie Yeh Saali Zindagi. At a college festival, Arunoday said he would kiss any girl who
comes on to the stage. He created a furore by actually kissing the girl who accepted his challenge.
May 2011: Amul came out with its own version "Lamba wait at airport," when Bollywood actress
Minissha Lamba was held by Customs officials at the Mumbai airport as she was carrying jewellery
worth Rs 50 lakh.
June 2011: The Amul strip is a take on the quirky but cool chartbuster, Bhaag DK Bose. Composed and
sung by Ram Sampath, the song is packed with sexual innuendos and has been under fire, most notably
from Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha. Sinha, who seemed to be disappointed with Aamir for the song
had said that he would not want his nine-year-old son singing the song. Ram Sampath, however,
dismissed Sinha's comments as “cheap publicity gimmicks”.
January, 2012: Amul has added its own yummy twist to the much-talked-about brawl between
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan's husband, Shirish Kunder. SRK allegedly punched
Kunder at a party hosted by Sanjay Dutt to celebrate the success of Agneepath.
John Abraham's first movie as producer has been satisfactory in every way – the critics are happy, the
cash registers are ringing. And now, Vicky Donor's unusual storyline of sperm donation has inspired an
Amul ad. The ad depicts a cartoon version of lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana surrounded by babies
demanding Amul butter. Donate generously, says Amul.
Rowdy Rathore has had a roaring start at the box office and equally warm reception from Amul. A new
ad shows actor-director combo, Akshay Kumar and Prabhu Deva enjoying a slice of bread and butter
with the tagline, 'Don't hungry me!'.
Anurag Kashyap's revenge saga Gangs of Wasseypur which opened to full houses on its first day of
release, has also inspired Amul's latest advertisement. 'Gangs of Maskeypur' shows a cartoon version of
Manoj Bajpai enjoying a slice of bread and butter.
The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, is blazing away at the box office
and also seems to have found a new fan in Amul. The Hollywood movie has inspired Amul's
advertisement, which shows the new Spider-Man enjoying Amul butter.
Amul has paid a tribute to late wrestler-actor Dara Singh, who passed away on Thursday (July 12, 2012)
after prolonged illness. Winner of titles such as Rustum-e-Punjab and Rustum-e-Hind for his wrestling
prowess, Dara Singh will always be remembered as Hanuman from the popular television series
Ramayan.
Amul's latest advertisement pays tribute to the late great Rajesh Khanna, who died on Wednesday (July
18, 2012). It shows a cartoon version of the veteran actor in his most famous roles with a line from one
his songs as the tagline, 'Chala Jaata Hoon Kisiki Dhun Mein...'. “Amul Prem” says the ad, recalling Mr
Khanna's hit film with Sharmila Tagore, Amar Prem
As the final Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, makes waves worldwide, Amul gets onto the Bat-
wagon. Their newest ad shows cartoon versions of Batman and Catwoman enjoying a slice of bread and
butter with the tagline, "Bat got butter, Cat got cream!"
Amul celebrated the success of Salman Khan's new blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger in its own unique way. The
new ad which features cartoon versions of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif being urged by the Amul Girl to
Bake, Kha, Tiger. The movie has created history at the box office on by collecting a whopping Rs 32
crores on opening day.
Amul has paid a tribute to late actor A K Hangal, who died on Sunday (August 26, 2012). It shows a
cartoon version of the famous characters played by Mr Hangal who endeared himself to the audience by
playing the role of the lovable old man in films like Sholay, Shaukeen and Namak Haram.

Amul too has been bitten by the Sridevi bug and celebrates her comeback film English Vinglish with its
newest ad. It features an animated Sridevi and the Amul girl taking English lessons and enjoying bread
and butter, with the tagline, 'Dish Wish'.
Amul celebrated Amitabh Bachchan's 70th birthday in its own charming way. The new ad features the
Amul Girl holding a cake for Big B to cut, with the tagline, ‘For All Big B'days'.
Amul paid tribute to late director Yash Chopra, known as the King of Romance, with their latest ad. In
the ad, the Amul girl is playing the guitar while Mr Chopra, known for making romantic films like Silsila,
Kabhi Kabhie, Chandni and Lamhe to name a few, is writing. The tagline reads: "Main har pal ka shayar
hoon, Har ek pal meri Kahani hai.
Everyone's bitten by the 007 bug including Amul who celebrates new Bond film Skyfall with it's new ad
in which the Amul girl enjoys a slice of bread and butter with the secret agent.

Even Amul can't ignore the Diwali clash of the titans at the box-office, as its newest ad is dedicated to
the much-discussed Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar face off. The ad shows an animated version of
Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, and Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha riding bikes and enjoying a slice of
bread and butter, while the Amul girl bursts crackers on the occasion of Diwali.

Amul had its own special toast for Ang Lee's Life Of Pi which has been receiving rave reviews from film
buffs and critics alike. The latest ad shows the Amul girl feeding the protagonist Pi with the caption Life
Of Every Pie. Richard Parker, the tiger, watches.
