DATA COLLECTION TOOLS TO BE USED Internet based online survey website will collect data by way of online
database update, mobile SMS or by e-mails from employees of AT&T who are holding wireless handheld devices as per local AT&T HR.
At the main gate of the AT&T Office where employees insert their punch card for entry into office or for recording attendance, survey desk can be set-up for filling the manual forms of the survey for those employee who do not have handheld wireless devices. Manual survey answers may be updated in the database from the backend interface.
Banners and batches may be set-up on the websites of the company and other social media website, where survey may be answered by login using employee id or other relevant information by employees of AT&T.
VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF COLLECTED DATA
Internet based survey website will have programs to check the validity of personal and demographic information entered by the employee. As the employee will enter the information, software should check and validate the information from HR database of the company.
For manual survey, validity and reliability of the data may be ensured by the same process the Bank uses for opening bank accounts. i.e. survey forms will be manually checked by the survey desk officer before accepting, this will be verified with the HR and any issues will be rectified with the concern employee by again calling him/her or asking them to submit relevant documentary evidence.
AT&T active Union members may be used for conducting the survey who will have local knowledge about the employee.
TOOLS TO ANALYZE THE SURVEY DATA
Application of Descriptive Statistics methodology to clean the survey results (e.g. 1.5IQR Rule to remove outliers)
Creation of Data mart for storing the cleaned and summarized survey data
Use of Business Intelligence tools like Qlikview / Tableau and Data mining tools like SAS enterprise miner for summarizing, pivoting, graphing of survey data and store it in an data mart for analysis purpose.
SAS Base, SPSS or Minitab may be used for advance statistical analysis of the data, if required.
Since issue to be resolved is that of employees relationship, we may make use of good text mining software for analyzing the flip side of the survey on social media sites to get the out of box view of the situation.
