A year after the official launch of the project “Transformation is within me” we took a moment to
think about the things we’ve accomplish and the future we believe in for Paraguay, a positive transformed
future full of leaders that practice values. When we started with this project, “Transformation
Paraguay” was barely a dream. A dream that was inspired by John Maxwell’s vision to spread the idea
of leadership around the world and through the amazing job of his team in Guatemala, we saw that
changing the lives of thousands of people in a country is really possibile.
We are excited about the possibilities in Paraguay, a thriving nation with one of the youngest populations in South America, a passionate people and an economy
that continues to grow despite economic turmoil in the region and the World. Paraguay is a fertile land where education in leadership values will play a principle role
in sustainable change. Over the past year and a half we were able to present this initiative to thousands of
influencial leaders from all sectors of Paraguayan society who opened their doors, minds and hearts. This
allowed us to launch this national project to teach leadership values with John Maxwell and his team from around the world, the first ever undertaking of its kind
in South America. Since then, thousands of Paraguayans, from businessmen and politicians to
homemakers and students have taken the decision to spend half an hour per week for 16 weeks to learn and
apply leadership values.Since July 2016 about 60,000 people have participated in
round tables in over 37 cities in Paraguay. We have organized leadership events that gathered more than
30,000 people plus hundreds of meetings for planning and follow-up. We have signed partnership agreements with
enterprises and government identities, supporting us in our goal to train 700,000 people by year end 2020. A few weeks ago, a woman who is participating in a round table
in the suburbs of Asuncion shared with us that through the round table she was able to discover her life’s purpose.
Those moments remind me of my own story, the story of a young woman who grow up watching how her father was slowly dying due to a neurological disease and who conquered her fear and uncertainties in order to study
overseas and bring back a better education for Paraguay. While thinking of our first year in this initiative I can’t
help but thank the thousands of Paraguayans who are involved in making this dream reality, to John Maxwell
and his team for believing in us and to an incredible team of men and women who’ve worked hard to
make this project happen.Today, after a year of starting this journey I can truly say that I am living my dream and serving Paraguay
with my heart.

After writing dozens of books about leadership, advising companies among the Fortune 500 list, politicians as well as business men from all over, Dr. John C. Maxwell, recognized as the biggest reference in the world of leadership and management, developed a great passion in seeing leaders being agents of change in their communities and countries. In June 2013, his foundation launched
a transformative initiative in Guatemala, where thousands of people were trained in principles and values of leadership through the round table methodology, yielding results in all areas of society. After the success of this project, more
than 20 countries formally requested Dr. Maxwell to replicate this experience in their communities. Paraguay had the privilege to be considered as the second country to receive this transformational leadership initiative, due to the huge potential of Paraguayans and the sustained economic growth of a predominantly young population.Dr. John Maxwell´s Team then developed new
content of transformational leadership, adapted specifically to Paraguay´s culture and needs. In August 2015, this initiative was presented to government authorities and introduced to the main areas of society such as companies, churches, press, education, media, culture and family.During two intense days where he presented in
front of thousands of Paraguayans, Maxwell introduced the project inviting Paraguayan leaders to get involved by living a life of significance where changes at a personal level could lead to a collective transformation, communities and finally
transformation at a country level.Transformation Paraguay conducted a national
survey to define the most important leadership values that should be taught during the round table process.
This is how values such as attitude, responsibility, commitment and forgiveness, among others, became an essential part of this social initiative. In February 2016, Dr. Maxwell came
back to the country, bringing with him 250 internationally certified coaches who during five days trained more than 10.000 people in leadership values chosen by Paraguayans themselves. About 1.000 companies and organizations applied to be part of the initiative. This was the event that triggered
“Transformation is within me” during the following months. Tens of thousands of Paraguayans from different backgrounds have participated in round tables and proudly share their personal transformation experience. The business and governmental sectors
have quickly adopted the learning process and the first results are becoming visible in terms of relations and productivity.A permanent specialized team in Paraguay is
carrying the project with constant supervision and visits from experts of John Maxwell's Leadership Foundation. Dr. Maxwell is consistantly traveling to the country to lead trainings for thousands of round table facilitators; demonstrating his commitment to the achievement of the program´s objective. Next year´s goal is to train over 100.000
Paraguayans and to train 10% of the total population by 2020.

Transformation Paraguay is a non-profit organization created to develop leaders on a massive scale in Paraguay based on a thought that if more people become leaders, more people will exercise ownership in promoting positive changes in the county. The mission is to train, inspire and equip leaders in Paraguay for them to promote changes in their lives, communities and the country.Transformation Paraguay in partnership with the John Maxwell Leadership Foundation intend to reach large portions of the population with leadership lessons through the Maxwell Round Table Method, which is an effective format that produces a cascade effect.
WHAT IS A ROUND TAbLE ?A round table is a simple yet powerful technique for learning leadership values. It consists of a small group of people, generally 4 to 8 people, who meet once a week for 30 to 40 minutes for a period of 16 weeks. The round table is lead by a facilitator.During these weekly sessions the members of the round table use leadership materials provided by Transformation Paraguay and the John Maxwell
Leadership Foundation at no cost. Each session covers a different leadership value which the members of the round table analyze in order to take action at an individual level. The round table uses two-way communication, in an environment where ideas are shared rather than taught. This highlights and promotes each group member’s personal growth since all of them share their experiences. The values incorporated are values such as attitude, competitiveness, priorities, responsibility, commitment, forgiveness, initiative, integrity, hard work and personal growth.
WHAT IS A FACILITATOR ?A facilitator is the person who maintains the group´s focus during the round table. The person is not an instructor or an advisor, the facilitator is a guide who encourages people to share and allows them to learn and grow through their own personal example. The facilitator initiates and moderates the meeting, they also invite each member to participate and lead, takes notes about member´s activities, in order to help them with the procedure and follow up.

Transformation Paraguay was created based on an inspiring story. At the beginning of 2013, Gabriela Teasdale attended a training with John Maxwell in Orlando. During the meeting, she heard John talking about the experience with “Guatemala Prospera” and about his plan of taking 150 certified coaches to train Guatemalans in leadership and values. When Gabriela learned the details of the project she became filled with emotion and immediately thought about how wonderful it would be for the project to take place in Paraguay as well. That same day, at the end of the conference and almost by coincidence, Gabriela found herself face to face with John, who was preparing himself to sign books. She didn’t have any book for him to sign and all she could find among her belongings was her Paraguayan passport. She approached John and asked him to write a word that would serve as motivation for the year. He wrote: Transformation. This gesture served as an impulse, first to travel to Guatemala as a coach and furthermore to work on the objective of the initiative taking place in Paraguay.
[ 27 ]
In February 2014, Gabriela and Timothy Teasdale returned to Orlando to confirm a business conference with John Maxwell in Paraguay. They met bruno Fiorio with whom they shared the dream of bringing the project to Paraguay. Since John and his team's requirement was the head of the country opening his doors to the project, the three thought about the best method of introducing the initiative to President Horacio Cartes. Months after, John Maxwell receives a letter from Mr. President Cartes´ legal advisor, requesting a meeting during his trip to Paraguay. They meet for the first time on November 17, 2014, in the Paraguayan Presidential Palace. Transformation was on the way.

Laying theGround
between August 31 and September 1, 2015, John Maxwell brought together more than 10,000 Paraguayan leaders for the formal presentation of the program "Transformation is in me."In addition to maintaining his second meeting with President Horacio Cartes, John introduced the initiative to representatives of the most influential sectors of society in conferences held in the City Theatre, the Sheraton Asuncion, the auditorium of the Central bank of Paraguay, and the Leon Condou sports stadium.

During the launch, the initial training sessions using the format of the Round Tables took place
carried by a group of international experts in various fields (business, communications, religion,
culture, among others) who accompanied John Maxwell in his visit to the country. One of the
most significant moments was the meeting between John and the Archbishop of Asuncion,
Edmundo Valenzuela, at the Archbishopric headquarters. The finishing touch was a

Notas de inspiración Notes of
One of the most memorable moments during the coaches´visit was the concert with the musicians of the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra on February 2. at the Sheraton Asuncion.Visitors were thrilled with the children´s story of personal triumph in building their instruments from objects recovered from the largest landfill in Paraguay and the way they have captivated the world with their music. John Maxwell led an auction of a violin made with old metal scraps and forks that was sold for $15,000. Many of the coaches contributed generously and those funds served for the building of the recycled orchestra school, which is set to be completed by the end of 2016.

Intentional LivingOn 28 and 29 March, 2016, John Maxwell returned to the country, in this visit he reaffirmed his commitment to the Paraguayans and the program "Transformation is in me." John gathered more than 6,000 people in three trainings on intentional living, one event in Ciudad del Este and two events at the Conmebol Covention Center on the outskirts of Asuncion.
John encouraged Paraguayans to strengthen their role as roundtable facilitators. "your community needs you, your country needs you. you are the key, the catalysts, you are essential for transformation in Paraguay," he said. And he challenged his public: the first thousand facilitators who complete five round tables and promote another 10 facilitators may apply for a scholarship at The John Maxwell Team.

mesas Redondas Inclusivas
[ 65 ]
Inclusive RoundTablesTransformation Paraguay has always emphasized inclusion. From the beginning of the program, Round tables were organized in sign language for people with hearing disabilities and all Round Table Manuals have been printed out in braille for people with visual disabilities. In some communities located in the interior of the country, the facilitators read their manuals out loud in order to include illiterate participants. Future efforts will make round table material available in the guarani language.

Respeto y me respeto".
The program helped me to transform my inner self. I value my actions with a different view and that adds more power to my values. Now my actions are positive, I want to help, serve others, share, give. I share my positivity with others and experience deeper peace.
The emotions are so intense that sometimes we cry deeply or laugh
fiercely. There is a lot of commitment and responsibility involved when you are contributing to positive change in

I understood that crying won’t fix anything and that rational thinking makes a difference. Today I am stronger, confident and very thankful to my creator for giving me the chance of being part of this project. My life is different and everything started with small actions. I stand up and honor this noble cause. A thank you is not enough.

I am very thankful to live this amazing experience of round tables created by John C. Maxwell, that made me change the vision of what I am capable of. Valuing who I am and what I am able to do, opens a wonderful horizon before my eyes and fills me with energy to look forward.

Me
The meetings in round tables makes us share our values, opinions, suggestions. We all learn to listen to each other and we get along better. I realize the more we know each other as colleagues, we accomplish our tasks better because we learn to value one another and work as a team.
