A message from Brad
Welcome to week 10 everyone!
We are well and truly on the downhill run now!
Academic reports were sent home with the students today. If you would like to book an appointment to discuss your child's progress, please contact the school.
This week we will say goodbye to Miss Kerr who has been doing an amazing job with the K/1 students over the past 6 weeks. After her time with us, Miss Kerr will only have one practicum remaining before becoming a fully qualified teacher! We wish Miss Kerr all the very best with her future endeavours and we look forward to seeing her back here as a qualified teacher.
As this is the last week of term I take this time to thank all parents and carers for your amazing contributions once again. This term is always a busy term and would not be such a success without the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Bongongo Public School community. Enjoy the break, take time to relax and recharge the batteries and I look forward to seeing you all again next term.
A reminder that I will be taking paternity leave on the first week back next term. Miss Reynolds will be my replacement for that week.
That’s about all for this week. Enjoy the holidays!
Brad
A message from Miss Reynolds
It has been a busy term with K/1 students enjoying having Miss Kerr in our classroom. We have been very lucky to have an enthusiastic and caring PRAC teacher with us.
The Kindergarten girls focused on their weather unit with Miss Kerr and constructed windmills last week.
The Space craft presentations last Monday were a wonderful way for students to link their learning about our topic of Space to their fellow peers. We had a lot of destinations to Uranus with the space crafts finding information or collecting rock/ice/data samples to reflect the planets.
This week K/1 are focusing on ‘Quick Write’ stories and are encouraged to use their punctuation. Our sound focus is ‘th’ this week.
We will be using our Numeracy focus of chance to explore social skills in games.
