I recovered under the influence of Collinsoninmedicinal principle extracted from Stone

root and is now to his businessHeretofore physicians knew of no remedyfor the removal of so and so dangerous a malady With them it was allguesswork and it fearfully warned theafflicted that death was near at hand Col

IN MEMORY OF MRS J WTHOMAS

The evidence of an allwise purposerunning through nature is a token ofimmortality The constellations thebirds and flowers atoms and moleculeseach have their place in the plan that

j extends through nature and it is unreasonable that all inanimate natureshould fulfill a mission and destinywhile man should perish or that the

i body should last longer than the soullast longer than the soul

The mysteries of life give hope of itscontinuance beyond the grave Couldwe understand every other problembut that of death we might concludethat mans eternal home is the tomb

when we cannot understand thebudding flowers it becomes no greatermystery that we should live again-

j than that we are living now and not sogreat a mystery that we shouldtinue to live as that we began to live

When the cold North wind comesthere is something within the heart ofthe little bird that bids it fly South-ward This voice within its breast isnot a deception for it finds a land ofsunshine and flower From the

j of the believe thatwe will find a home of light and lovewhen we follow the impulses that areever throbbing within our hearts andwe believe that the Providence whichcares for the sparrow will not be deaf

i tti humanitys cryThere is no death 0 death where

j is thy sting 0 grave where is thyvictory The granite rocks

to make soil for plants and futurelife The leaves fall the flowers fade

land pass away They onlyI through the wintry hours the coming ofthe May An angel form walks overthe earth He bears our best loved

away and then we themdeadIn the death of Mrs John

our grandmother He has taken the bestand noblest He has left our hearts

desolate yet we know that she hasonly gone before that she only awaits-us there Her life one long sacrificefor others has spaead its influence j

among others for good The smile wasalways ready She was cheerful kindand the truest of Christian charactersFor her loss we need not mourn for shehath left us her virtues as jewels tokeep so let the pure and beautifulsleep May our heavenly Father leadus in her footseteps May He heal the I

broken hearts of those who watched sotenderly and tearfully by her bedsideand keep safe in His arms the agedgrandfather who loved amf trusted herso well for it will not be long till hewill see her face to face May he keepthose dear ones in the falloff Southern

who grieve for her but could noteomer We see but darkly through theglass as now but some day we shallknow as we are known

Never more to walk aloneLT the dawning of the morningWhen the mists have rolled
