• Hace + time expression + que + verb
• Hace dos años que vivo en los EEUU.
• I have been living in the USA for 2 years.

To express how long it has been since …..just add no before the verb.
• Hace + time expression + que +NO verb
• Hace dos años que no juego al fútbol.
• It has been 2 years since I have played soccer.

• ¿Cuánto tiempo hace que (no) juegas al ajedrez?
• How long have you been playing chess? (has it been since you’ve played chess)
• Hace tres horas que (no) juego al ajedrez.
