CASE STUDY: Viva Hotels & Resorts
Navihotel has made Viva Hotels & Resorts manage their hotels as a hotel
chain.
It all starts in November 1998, when the owners of E.T.I. group
decided to manage and commercialize their own hotels under the
Viva Hotels & Resorts brand.
From the initial 9 establishments it has now moved to 16, all of
them located at Mallorca and Menorca. The E.T.I. group is known
for their important presence at the real estate sector with over 25
years of experience.
Outside Spain an investment together with Medieval Times has
been done, resulting into Excellence Luxury resorts. Excellence is a
group of luxury Resorts specialized in hotel management and real
estate development all around the world. (Excellence Riviera
Cancun and Excellence Punta Cana). Additionally E.T.I. group has
shares at Sunscape the Beach at Punta Cana.
SITUATION At their initial days around 1998 Viva Hotels & Resorts started
using several software solutions that did not comply with their
necessities. Each hotel worked separately, there was no integrated
management and there were many coordination problems
between the different hotels. It was not managed as a hotel chain,
and a lot of time was invested trying to obtain consolidated
information if they could obtain it.
SOLUTION Sistemas de Gestion was the Microsoft Dynamics NAV partner, that
offered the best hotel management product in the market.
NAVIHOTEL managed Viva Hotels & Resorts to start to be managed
as a hotel chain, with headquarters where invoicing, occupancy
and purchases could be centralized, without having to treat them
individually.
Not only its total integration and its flexibility made NAVIHOTEL
the ideal program, but its adaptability to the different necessities
that rise with the time demonstrate that NAVIHOTEL was the
perfect system for the daily work at this hotel chain.
BENEFITS NAVIHOTEL implementation has allowed the headquarters to
have a complete control of the information almost in real time.
This gives the commercial department the ability to have a clear
vision of the reality.
Being a very open solution, NAVIHOTEL allows to implement the
day to day changes in a fast and secure way, being able to create
any necessary reports.
Not only Point of Sales prices, purchasing tariffs and sales
contracts prices have been centralized, but also all of these errors
are avoided and management time is optimized.
Thanks to NAVIHOTEL customer’s requests the program has been
growing, adapting itself to the necessities of each customer.
