Our GoalsGiven: Textbook provides structure and
content
1. Focus on creation of supplemental materials and rental of existing texts
2. Develop playlists of academic content to either supplement or replace textbooks
3. Prepare an infrastructure to be prepared for the post-textbook era, if it arises

The Basic Idea is…The stuff is already out there…let’s use it!May be more sustainable than the process
of developing fully open textbooksCould a fusion of both techniques represents
the future of content delivery?Fundamentals of the technique are
familiarFaculty are accustomed to assembling
existing content already. This just makes it a more formal and
packaged process.

Where we are in the process…Grant started in October 2010, major
work beginning in late November 2010.Actively working with faculty on content
module production (media, text, etc.)Will begin playlist work this semester. How would we build one.............?
