RayStulz, Sr., and Pete Macedoniawere the attendants. The ambu-lance was called December 8 tothe home of Andrew Hansen onMotor parkway and Breeze street.Mr. Hansen was dead when theambulance arrived. Dr. MasamiYamaguchi was the doctor andWalter Demarest, Adam Pitka andRay Stulz, Jr., the attendants. Thesame day the ambulance was calledby Dr. Carl E. Mueller to thehome of Kurt Franke on Eastviewroad. He also was dead on arrival.Fire chief Hugh Obernolte and Mr.Demarest were the attendants. Theambulance was called out for thethird time that day to take Mrs.Margaret Sally of Easton street toMather Memorial hospital. Dr.Herbert Silverberg was the doctorand Gerard Healy, Charles Rappand David Ganolfo, the attendants.
The Lakeland Medical unit hasjoined forces with five other am-bulance companies in Islip to ex-tend additional service in the areasaffected. The goal is to providea stand-by ambulance to a com-munity in an emergency. The com-munities cooperating in addition toLakeland are Sayville, Bay Shore-Brightwaters, Islip, Brentwood andCentral Islip.
