A unit of the 4-H club , also called the Clover club , has been organized in Lake Ronkonkoma. The singing of Christmas carols around the lighted tree at Ron- konkoma Railroad station and the lighted tree by the manger erect- ed by the Knights of Columbus on Farm-to-Market road and Haw- kins avenue , was postponed because of the inclement weather -. The caroling, which is sponsored by the Lake Ronkonkoma Civic associa- tion and the Chamber of Com- merce, will take place at 8 p. m. Saturday if the weather permits. This year marks the twelfth one of community caroling. Mrs. Ernest Hock is chairman. The first carols will be sung at the Railroad sta- tion where candy canes will be distributed by the Senior Girl Scouts to all children present. LAKELAND FIRE DEPT. Mrs. Louis Bader of Southport and Fifth street was taken to Brookhaven Memorial hosp ital De- cember 7 in the Lakeland Fire department ambulance. Dr. Theo- dore Fried was in charge. Ray Stulz, Sr., and Pete Macedonia were the attendants. The ambu- lance was called December 8 to the home of Andrew Hansen on Motor parkway and Breeze street. Mr . Hansen was dead when the ambulance arrived. Dr. Masami Yamaguchi was the doctor and Walter Demarest, Adam Pitka and Ray Stulz , Jr., the attendants. The same day the ambulance was called by Dr. Carl E. Mueller to the home of Kurt Franke on Eastview road. He also was dead on arrival. Fire chief Hugh Obernolte and Mr. Demarest were the attendants. The ambulance was called out for the third time that day to take Mrs. Margaret Sally of Easton street to Mather Memorial hospital. Dr . Herbert Silverberg was the doctor and Gerard Heal y, Charles Rapp and David Ganolfo, the attendants. The Lakeland Medical unit has joined forces with five other am- bulance companies in Islip to ex- tend additional service in the areas affected. The goal is to provide a stand-by ambulance to a com- munity in an emergency. The com- munities cooperating in addition to Lakeland are Sayville , Bay Shore- Brightwaters, Islip, Brentwood and Central Islip. HOLY CROSS CHURCH Holy Cross Lutheran church holds services Sunday at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a. m. Hol y communion is administered the first Sunday of the month at all services. Thecaroling, which is sponsored by theLake Ronkonkoma Civic associa-tion and the Chamber of Com-merce, will take place at 8 p. m.Saturday if the weather permits.This year marks the twelfth oneof community caroling. Mrs. ErnestHock is chairman. The first carolswill be sung at the Railroad sta-tion where candy canes will bedistributed by the Senior GirlScouts to all children present. LAKELAND FIRE DEPT.Mrs. Louis Bader of Southport

and Fifth street was taken toBrookhaven Memorial hospital De-cember 7 in the Lakeland Firedepartment ambulance. Dr. Theo-dore Fried was in charge. RayStulz, Sr., and Pete Macedoniawere the attendants. The ambu-lance was called December 8 tothe home of Andrew Hansen onMotor parkway and Breeze street.Mr. Hansen was dead when theambulance arrived. Dr. MasamiYamaguchi was the doctor andWalter Demarest, Adam Pitka andRay Stulz, Jr., the attendants. Thesame day the ambulance was calledby Dr. Carl E. Mueller to thehome of Kurt Franke on Eastviewroad. He also was dead on arrival.Fire chief Hugh Obernolte and Mr.Demarest were the attendants. Theambulance was called out for thethird time that day to take Mrs.Margaret Sally of Easton street toMather Memorial hospital. Dr.Herbert Silverberg was the doctorand Gerard Healy, Charles Rappand David Ganolfo, the attendants.

The Lakeland Medical unit hasjoined forces with five other am-bulance companies in Islip to ex-tend additional service in the areasaffected. The goal is to providea stand-by ambulance to a com-munity in an emergency. The com-munities cooperating in addition toLakeland are Sayville, Bay Shore-Brightwaters, Islip, Brentwood andCentral Islip.

HOLY CROSS CHURCH

Holy C r o s s Lutheran churchholds services Sunday at 8:15, 9:30and 11 a. m. Holy communion isadministered the first Sunday ofthe month at all services. Thechurch school meets at 9:30 a. m.Sunday. The Confirmation classwill meet at 7 p. m. today. Therewill be a Candlelight sei'vice at 8p. m. Christmas eve and at 10:30p. m. the choir will present aChristmas concert. Holy com-munion will be administered afterthe concert at 11 p. m. Christmasday there will be a service withHoly communion at 9 a. m.
