This project is a second story addition to an existing single story residence with basement. The existing building has a third bedroom that is half a level higher than the main floor, with a laundry room below that, essentially at grade. This elevated bedroom is eliminated in the proposed addition, and becomes space shared between the second floor balcony, and the stair to the second floor.
