Boelwerf shipyard is founded by Bernard Boel on the banks of the river
Scheldt near Antwerp Philippe Saverys took over the management of the shipyard. Construction of the LPG carrier “Coral Temse”.
Exmar evolved from the shipping activities of the CMB group with

Delivery of Excelsior – the world’s first floating regasification vessel.
First operations in GOM during Hurricane Katrina 1st full cargo LNG Ship-to-Ship
transfer at sea at Scapa Flow & regas operation at Teesport UK following the first commercial STS operation in Gulf of Mexico in 2006

alex is the name that has been given to Exmar Shipmanagement’s project which is looking at how we set up and manage our business processes in just about every aspect of our daily work tasks and routines on board and on shore.
alex aims to integrate all those business processes into a single, intelligent system which will also allow us to respond proactively to unforeseen events or occurrences that impact the smooth running of our ship management business.
