Editor’s Spotlight on
Mrs. Christina Moore Teaches Business Communication: MGT 3353 and MGT 3453
Teaching Interests: -Business Communication -Group Dynamics and Team Building -Innovation and Organizational Change -Leadership Theory and Practice
Research Interests: -Change Management -Employee Engagement -Intercultural Communication -Strategic Planning
Christina Moore brings 30 years of pragmatic business and consulting experience to the McCoy classroom, including international work in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, as well as an expatriate assignment in Scotland.
During this time, she worked in diverse industries for the likes of Applied Materials, Dell, Devon Energy, Freescale Semiconductor, Motorola, and Seton.
Christina began her career in the training and development field as an instructor for UT’s continuing-ed department back in 1994. Over the course of 20 years, she has designed and taught professional development workshops on communication, crisis management, leadership, managing change, public relations, and teamwork.
Christina’s greatest joy is her family. She and her husband Tim have three grown children (two Bobcats + one Longhorn) and seven grand-children—with two more on the way! This past summer, she and Tim trekked the ancient pilgrimage path from Porto, Portugal, to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. They also cycled 222 miles from Prague to Vienna, then toured Loire Valley, France, from atop their bikes.
