LONELY? SAD? DISCOURAGED?: Going through a difficult time - emotionally or spiritually? Many of us face worries, anxieties, and fears as our lives unfold. Events often occur, such as the loss of a loved one, financial chal-lenges, job loss, relationship issues, loneliness, sickness, disabilities. When this happens, we often have difficulty coping. In such situations - even if the struggle is temporary- no one should have to suffer alone. You don't have to! Lourdes Stephen Ministry and trained Stephen Ministers are here to help, providing caring, non-judgmental, empathetic listening in strict confidentiality. Call the church office at (404) 522-6776, state that you are interest-ed in having a Stephen Minister and a Stephen Leader will return your call. The Stephen Leader will see to it that an appropriate Stephen Minister is assigned to you for as long as you need the care.

JULY IS UV SAFETY MONTH: Who is at risk from eye damage from the sun? Yes, everyone (including children) is at risk for eye damage from UV radiation that can lead to vision loss. Any factor that increases the amount of time you spend in the sun will increase your risk. People who work or play in the sun for long periods of time are at the greatest risk. The risk of sun related eye problems is higher for people who: spend long hours in the sun, have had cataract surgery* or have certain retina disorders, are on certain medicines, such as tetracycline, sulfa drugs, diuretics and tranquilizers that increase the eye's sensitivity to light. *If you have had cataract surgery, you may be more at risk of injury from sunlight unless the artificial lens you re-ceived during surgery absorbs UV rays. Please consult your Ophthalmologist or Optometrist , if you have con-cerns. - From The Health Promotions Ministry.
POPE FRANCIS INTENTIONS FOR JULY: The Integrity of Justice. That those who administer justice may work with integrity, and that the injustice, which prevails in the world, may not have the last word.

Thoughts on Stewardship
If I am to work to be an effective Christian steward, with the help of God’s grace, what will it cost me in terms of personal sacrifice and hardship? Am I willing to take the next step?
