JOURNEY OF FAITH (RCIA) will begin its new liturgical season with an Inquiry Session for anyone interested in becoming Catholic on Sunday, July 28 at 11:30AM. This session will be held in the RCIA Room on 3rd Floor (last classroom on the left) in the Drexel Center. JULY IS UV SAFETY MONTH: Who is at risk from eye damage from the sun? Yes, everyone (including children) is at risk for eye damage from UV radiation that can lead to vision loss. Any factor that increases the amount of time you spend in the sun will increase your risk. People who work or play in the sun for long periods of time are at the greatest risk. The risk of sun related eye problems is higher for people who: spend long hours in the sun, have had cataract surgery* or have certain retina disorders, are on certain medicines, such as tetracycline, sulfa drugs, diuretics and tranquilizers that increase the eye's sensitivity to light. *If you have had cataract surgery, you may be more at risk of injury from sunlight unless the artificial lens you re-ceived during surgery absorbs UV rays. BIBLE STUDY: Our Lady of Lourdes is launching a new Bible study! Father Jeffery and Lourdes member, Julian Reid, will be co-leading a study of what Scripture has to say about our lives as Christians. The study is entitled "Missionary Discipleship." Come out for a 6-week series starting on Tuesday, July 16 at 7PM in the Parish Hall.
